When does Yadav get fit?

He does not to do too much for that just come a bit more closer to the stumps like Steyn. His bowling does not come enough around the shoulder like Anderson so he will have to come closer to the stumps.
that is not the point.. but dont u love that he knows where he has to improve to become world class? this is where ishant lacks and blames his luck on the other hand yadav knows exactly what to do now execution depends on practice but atleast he is on right track

Even Ishant knows that, that is why he is working on to get an ouswinger and in that process loses his action and rhythm because it does not come to him naturally. Outswing is natural to Yadav, Ishant's natural swing was in swing and there are very few good to great predominant inswing bowlers so he wants perfect outswing but it will take time and work in the nets but he is continuously picked to play matches for India which is making the matter worst.

Because he has lost his rhythm while trying to get that outswing. His action has changed completely since his debut in the search of that outswing which he started to learn under Prasad. He loses control due to that and consistency only comes when you have complete control and confidence in your bowling approach. Even Yadav struggle to pitch 2 balls at same spot, even BK, and that is true for most Indian bowlers. Look at BK's economy this series which is 1 point higher than Ishant's just under 4. Ishant bowled with better control as this series went ahead than BK and with getter pace. BK was all over the place in Delhi both innings and Mohali first innings.

now if yadav will play ipl,he should pick and chose the games where he will play, should get considerable rest before the games he plays..he is a must for away tours and i think he should try to attain maximum fitness before CT where he should play (my opinion)

That is the fault of selectors who pick him needlessly. If he continues to play matches, he is not going to get time to work on these issues. These things cannot be corrected overnight. His will to get ouswinger has lead to that poor writs and seam position as well. Now he tries to bring his bowling hand around the right shoulder to get that coveted outswing but does not keep his wrist behind the seam.

Yadav needs to bowl fuller. With his action' date=' he can bowl outswingers easily, but he has no control whatsoever. Bowling fast with brains is required[/quote'] no control? u must have only watched him bowl in odis

i still feel the biggest reason why we lost the series vs england was due to yadav`s injury

This will give him time to work on his issues.

Nah biggest reason was no support to pujara, fail openers, middle order Yadav might have given crucial wickets but our batting failed .. People are underestimating what vijay did in this series..a us did get 400 and big scores.. That's usual in India we just have to out bat them and this is where we lost imo

have you seen him when he bowls short? its basically a gift for the batsmen
He bowls with decent control. His problem seems to be variation and ofc keeping himself fit enough to play.

He rarely bowls them now. Since the CLT20 in SA, he is been a pretty clever bowler.

Umesh Yadav returns to action in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy

Umesh Yadav, the India fast bowler, will return to competitive cricket when he takes the field for Vidarbha in a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match against Odisha on Thursday in Indore. He last played for India in the Ahmedabad Test in November 2012 before a stress reaction of the back sidelined him. Yadav said he will be selective and will manage his workload in the IPL that follows. "This will be my first competitive game in four months," Yadav told PTI. "Irrespective of the amount of effort you put in at the nets, there is no substitute to match practice. Tomorrow, I will get an idea about how I am shaping up. I am planning to play all the group league games, which are on successive days, which will provide me with an idea as to how my body is holding up." Yadav also said he will take it easy during the IPL and will monitor his workload properly, lest he puts his back under too much pressure too soon. "I have fully recovered from my lower-back injury. I will be available from the first match for Delhi Daredevils, but considering the number of matches and the amount of travel involved, I need to be careful about the workload and will speak to the coaches regarding that." The Daredevils play their first match on April 3. Yadav resumed bowling in the first week of March, and has been under the supervision of the specialists at the National Cricket Academy. "I didn't want to rush my comeback," Yadav said. "When I first started bowling, it was off a four-step run-up. Gradually, I increased it to eight steps, and from there to 12 steps. Now I am bowling with my full run-up, which is 16 steps."
