Lost by an innings even after declaring in the first innings! They have failed to put together as many runs as Pujara and Vijay did! :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

apni gali mein kutta bhi sher hota hai... spank Australia IN Australia and then I'll concede India really is good.. Till then... to me India is simply riding their luck on home territory.

Why is everybody making a big deal out of the declaration by Clarke.. It was a decision made with a very good and probable intent. Our petu sehwag managed to cling on to his wicket by some fluke.. otherwise it was a good decision indeed.

^ This. So a guy who is incapable of creativity pokes fun at the one who shows an attempt to be creative and fails. We know why we are where we are.

Pathetic, really pathetic display. Credit to India though, giving Australia exactly what they deserved... a spanking! This current team can NOT play in India at all. No determination, no resilience in the batting line up. Clarke is the only batsman who makes the opposition really earn their wicket. I feel sorry for him really because I think he is a great captain (amazing player too), but the team he is working with is miles away from the sides his predecessors had to work with..

Have a look at Australia Sheffield Shield batting stats and those are eye opening. http://stats.espncricinfo.com/sheffield-shield-2012/engine/records/batting/most_runs_career.html?id=7544;type=tournament
Huges a legend among those guys. Only 3 50+ avgs. Check out their bowling avgs. Bloody impressive but no spinners. http://stats.espncricinfo.com/sheffield-shield-2012/engine/records/bowling/most_wickets_career.html?id=7544;type=tournament

Very interesting indeed. Shows you the lack of options we have in batting. We have plenty of options for bowlers (pacers) but unfortunately' date=' we need spinners in India and we have not got any.[/quote'] It also shows that making fast bouncy and seaming tracks is not always the best thing for domestic cricket. This was not the case before. Even Michael Hussey had once mentioned that pitches nowadays in FC cricket are more bowler friendly than what they were when he used to play domestic cricket. I guess good batting pitches also allow the batsmen to learn to score big runs and stay at wicket for long duration. Looking at this list, it is easily to understand that Aussie batsmen are not playing long innings at all.

In that case, Australia won at home also. Why do you make that to be important then ? :hmmm:
