Flintoff predicts 10-0 for England in the back to back Ashes

The best ever English squad? Has Flintoff forgotten what happened to the same squad vs SA and Pak not too long ago? Also, as weak the current Aussie squad looks like in India, on helpful pitches they will be far more competitive primarily due to their pacers being effective. Pattinson, Ryan Harris (who should be fit for the Ashes), Hilfenhaus, Siddle, Starc, Jhonson isn't a bad bowling attack especially if the weather is kind in England.

hmm i think australia will be hard to beat in Australia it wont be 10-0 england themselves are facing some injuries. I somehow doubt Swann will last the duration of the both the ashes. Its the same for Broad Bresnan etc. In that sense Australia have more depth in the bowling. The batting is a big issue for Australia. the way bhuvi ripped into them in Hyderabad, Anderson will be licking his lips.

Dhoni will be really happy if this happens - at least there's be another Captain to give him company in the special club of those who have been whitewashed in 2 series' of 4 (or more) Tests :phehehe:

Pretty sure Clarke wont be captain for the consequent Ashes if he suffers 5-0 in England. 5-0 is not happening though, I mean even the ATG Aussie team came close to drawing 1 of those 5-0 if not for a sportive declaration from England. Aus are bad but not "India" bad in English conditions. And lets not forget England just got hammered at home by SA 2-0 because of their pace attack. And these guys Pattinson/Starc/Cummins - if they stay fit can trouble English line up.

Dhoni joined Lara with that unique distinction.

I will go out on a limb and say Aussies won't lose either of those series. They will win at home and draw or win the one in England. Aussies' pace attack, if fully fit, consisting of Pattinson, Starc, Siddle, Cummins etc. will make life miserable for English. England has looked better than they really are thanks to Cook and you can't bank on him to continue his golden run for so long.

The Aussie pace attack on helpful conditions troubled SA and almost won them a game but the English bowlers were no where near the Aussies agaist SA. The SA batsmen made them struggle for their wickets and literally tortured them but Aussie pacer had some great time with the ball. Their batting order is really, really weak compared to that of England as they found a classy and consistent No.5-6 in Root. But 10-0 is rubbish. Boxing has knocked down the senses of Freddy.

These Aussies are tough. They learn from their mistakes. It's a fairly new squad playing together. Clarke is playing well as a captain. He just needs to find the right combination and then they will be able to compete well. Let's not forget, this similar team gave South Africa a scare twice in 3 match series recently. South Africa won, but it was a very tough series. This is first experience and they are bound to collapse in tough conditions. I think they will put up a great fight against England, both in England and their home.

England will win in England .. Thats a given but a whitewash is not happening. :wizard:
Nothing in life or sports is ever a given. It was a "given" in 89 as well that England will sweep the floor with a young inexperienced Aussie team and look how it turned out (4-0 in Aussies' favor).

Can't you see by the emoticon that its just a random prediction. Its not backed with any reasoning. And true, Nothing is given and given that England batters are finding it difficult to face wagner and southee, It might be interesting to see them against Cummins and Pattinson. Hope Hilfenhous comes back as he can swing it big and both ways. Have no idea why he aint playing in India.

Pattinson, Harris, Cummins and Siddle if all fit will be a very good attack. Starc blows too hot and cold. He has extremes like Johnson.
