why is he not getting a chance if he is any good. mumbai doesn have good young fast bowlers apart kulkarni who is only decent in helping conditions.
He will get his chances. He is not from Mumbai. He is from Haryana. He is only 18 and is raw. and as I said above in my post, coaches want him to slow down and concentrate on line and length because he is erratic. This is what coaches in Haryana told him on selection trials. But young genuine pacers have always been erratic. They get better as they play. Other issue with him is he is short in height, but I dont think this should be an issue as long as he has pace.

For the love of Indian cricket I just want to see legitimate fast bowlers in our team someday. I will tear up and die a happy man on that hopeful day..

Ian Pont is so vocal about these things in India by coaches asking bowlers to slow down and concentrate on line and length.

only bcci can change the trend or maybe if umesh and aaron can be successful in the big picture then it will inspire the next generation fast bowlers

I just want to see a legitimate fast bowler for India who can seriously wreck havoc among the opposition. I'm tired of watching unlucky Pisshant Sharma and Dartbhajan every game :((

He is not taking shots on his colleagues. He is just showing his frustration about how the system works in India. Look at what he said in last line "Himanshu Hme Speed Nhi Wickets Chae." This sums up whole cricket culture in India. This is one of the biggest reason we do not get genuine fast bowlers because coaches take an easy way out. They need a ready made product. Rather than refining and working on a raw genuine pacer, they will select someone who can bowl line and length ignoring whether he has pace or not.
That's my point that he can't show his frustration so openly on social media. As part of showing his frustration he threw his team-mates under the bus for dropping catches and probably his coach/captain/selector for the statement "Himanshu Hme Speed Nhi Wickets Chae." How do you think his mates who dropped the catches or the coach/captain/selector who made that statement feel after reading this stuff on facebook? What happens in dressing room should remain there and should never be aired publicly, whether you are frustrated o not. If he continues to air his grievances and frustrations so openly on social media, he wouldn't have a long future in the game coz he will need the very same folks he's calling out to back him. That's how things work everywhere and if you think an 18 year old can succeed with that attitude, you are mistaken. He will face much more frustration along the way. Catches will be dropped off his bowling, he will get to bowl on pattas where he only gets maybe 8 overs in the 1st innings and none in the 2nd, he will get dropped for a match etc. But if he handles his frustration the way he did in this case by venting on social media, he won't get far. The best way to resolve any differences and frustrations is to have a chat with the folks where everything remains privy between you and them. Let them know you will need better support from them for picking wkts etc. but going to social media is not a solution. He needs to learn publicly he has to be politically correct and if he can't say something good about anyone, then not say anything at all and maybe simply mouth some cliches about bowling in the right areas etc.

Yes and the worst offender is T.A Sekar who actively says speed is not important. He has a high respected position in Indian cricket but says this to young boys all the time. I met him once on a course and he spoke about line and length the whole time and never about the fast bowling skill. Unless we get coaches who coach speed bowling we will never succeed at it.

:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Do Australians pay Indian coaches to do these things? It's all phikshed

Pace doesnt make any difference if there is no line and length. If you bowl short and wide rubbish and if you cant get movement, 150 k balls will disappear very quickly to the boundary. What's the point in such bowlers if they cant get wickets and if they cant add pressure ? Just for looking at speedometer and become happy that he hit 145 or 150 ? Some people here are acting juvenile without having a clue what they're talking about.

India lacks genuine fast bowlers, and if this is the kind of attitude our coaches have we'll keep producing trundlers. Of course line and length are the primary virtues a fast bowler should possess, but discouraging the bowler from bowling fast if he's spraying it around is the easy way out for both the bowler and the coach. You have to keep bowling fast and try to gain control, why compromise one for the other?
