He was already tried in IPL with RCB the past seasons and he couldn't score past 20 without a strike rate of 90-105. That is very slow and anything less than 30(unless it's with a huge SR) is a failure in t20.

Read properly ... I said I hope he plays the two tests without trouble .. which means without injury. It was not about IPL, I said feck with IPL as in he should not play IPL and rest his knee giving it ample time to recover.

Pujara payed more than one season in IPL. Plus he has done nothing of note in domestic t20 competitions. In list A itself he is questionable whether he can play the 50 over game suitably. Then how can he play 20-20?

list A he averages 56 with decent SR about IPL,if Rahane n Bardinath can play,he can play too

I'm not against him in ODI'S. I'm saying the indian fans at first thought he would'nt fit in the odi team. They were uncertain. Badrinath should never play t20's unless he requires to build a partnership. Because He is slow. Rahane was tried in t20's and was a huge success.

how do u know pujara is slow ? based on test matches? and in ipl kohli has been very mediocre

Kohli performs well internationally and poorly in domestic. He performed well in t20 word cup and the t20's against pakistan and england but failed in IPL. Pujara is slow because of his performances in past IPL games. He is good for ODI to stay long on the crease and score briskly while building a partnership as an opener. But he is not cut out for t20's

so kohli fails in ipl and can still perform why cant pujara? u do realize right that he plays slowly in tests and its not his limitation but decision ? kohli has lower strike rate then pujara in tests from what i remember :winky:
