Loosely speaking both have the same descendants but due to linguistic difference the Jatts are from modern day Punjab and the Jaats are from modern day Haryana/Western UP.

I'm glad he took this opportunity that he got. He was playing a demoralized Aussie team on a batting beauty of a wicket with the opposition's top bowler sitting out and spinners who would not even qualify for club cricket in India. A perfect opportunity to make hay when the sun is shining! Good job, not done yet! I hope he goes on to score a big double hundred, possibly even a triple.

India-KXIP fan Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 That's probably what I'd noticed about him wrt to him playing the short ball a while back so my memory may be a tad bit foggy. Sure, eveybody gets out to playing short deliveries once in a while. I jus hope he has improved from the last time I saw him. He just needs to pick the right ball to pull hook if he's going to playing those shots successfuly. This is where his temperament would be tested. No doubt, I'd like him to perform well. I'll focus on the positives....for starters his family hails from Punjab and he likes listening to Punjabi music.
