we have the best pitch it helped everyone batting was good to watch with many shots played and over all facilities are good.. crowds wont come in exams sewson more over dont expect big crowds like metro but week ends were very decent and there were fair number of people..

crowd can't be the only factor to take away games,other things are good.they need to market it more. also grounds like Nagpur also dont have much crowd

Utter bollocks! Can you name me one other sport where crowd attendance is not a major/critical factor to a location's long-term viability ?! The answer is very simple- bollocks to the facilities, pitch & weather condition, a venue loses its value for hosting a contest if it cannot pull sufficient audience. Period. It is simple bad business, bad PR and bad everything to host contests in locations that cannot attract crowds. The fundamental objective of any show (and sport *is* a show) is to cater to an audience. Mohali should totally lose test status for the interim. What BCCI needs to do, is to incentivise test match attendance by giving bonus kickback to state associations for meeting attendance metrics. Such nonsensical thinking ( venue doesnt fill up, but still persist with it) does not even begin to enter the picture for sports such as hockey,soccer, football, etc. Baseball rarely sells out except in certain cities but then again, baseball is cricket for retards, so its understandable why it doesnt sell out. Even in baseball, a club that cannot pull major audience in major games is a club that is slated for movement in the long run. Also, in the long run, low attendance is bad for revenue- besides the obvious area of shortfall, it also loses money from sponsors, as sponsors, provided tv audience remains the same, do not pay as much for sparsely populated stadiums than for full stadiums. From a marketing perspective, it simply looks bad to associate your product with a game that cannot put enough buttocks in seats.
