Cricketics Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 even if Ishant sharma would have been hitting just about 130, i say whatz this addiction of calling a bowler a trundler just because he can't hit a bloody 150 or a 145? basically if a bowler doesn't hit a decent 140kz then he is a trundler?? crap
guju24 Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 mcgrath wasnt hitting even 140 mark but he was the greatest in the world...so i agree with u cricks...
msb1991 Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 mcgrath wasnt hitting even 140 mark but he was the greatest in the world...so i agree with u cricks... However, Mcgrath bowled exclusively over the 130kph mark in the first 10 years of his career, which a lot of opening bowlers in India fail to do. There is certainly a limit to how slow a strike bowler can be. From watching the Duleep Trophy, I saw about half a dozen balls just over 130kph, and that was by VRV Singh.

fineleg Posted February 28, 2008 Author Posted February 28, 2008 kumble is spinner. Exempt. trundlers = "pace bowlers" in 120 to low 130 range (forget < 120)
guju24 Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Shouldn't Khumble Top the list :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
maaki Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 It was a joke dude.. kumble is spinner. Exempt. trundlers = "pace bowlers" in 120 to low 130 range (forget < 120)
Dravid Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 a trundler named kumar won us a game..but yup he is useless. no room for turndlers in the team.. kick em all out damn it
maaki Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Clark and Asif have a lot of things in common 1> Height 2> Accuracy 3> Variation to keep batsmen guessing Does experience at Aussie Domestic level have anything to do with Clarks success, i dont think so.. going by that yard stick all 30 year old bowlers in Aus should be world class trudlers.. I had a long discussion with my cousin about this. If you have experience at a high level' date=' which Clark does at Australian domestic level, then it is fine to bowl at 125kph. Similarly, if you can move the ball like no other in the country (world?), like Asif can, it is also fine to bowl 125kph.[/quote']
fineleg Posted March 1, 2008 Author Posted March 1, 2008 ^^ Doesn't druggie Mohd. Asif bowl faster than what is said above!? ^
fineleg Posted December 26, 2008 Author Posted December 26, 2008 The "phaaasht" bowlers in Ranji!!!! Buy one, get one free - Trundlers :mad: Where are the TRUE fast bowlers (not phaaasht) ones of India!?

Forgot some major difference?
sharma Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 S Clark isnt too far off the 135 mark' date=' but Asif ? I would like to think he is quite quick, unless of course he has lost a lot of pace off late.[/quote'] asif slowed down recently after someone told him cocaine isnt actually allowed by WADA :hatsoff:
fineleg Posted December 17, 2010 Author Posted December 17, 2010 Any new trundlers to be added to this thread? We can add Vinay Kumar to the list. Will J. Unadkat manage to keep off this list?
ViruRulez Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Add Unadkat to the list .. really pissed off to see a youngster bowling 125 kmph that too on SA pitches when he was so overhyped with a lot of expectations .. he is not even domestic quality leave apart international .. he is a pure trundler from what I have seen till now.. I expected him to bowl near 140s at least with good swings .. maybe testing Yadav would not have been a very bad ploy and he would have at least bowled 140+

asterix Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Unadkat needs to change his diet of Karhi and Masala Bhat.. A regular diet of Kolhapuri Chicken and Savji Chicken should give him the necessary "drive" to increase his running speed, if not bowling speed..
