Compare with Aaron s/r 27 and eco 7.51. Shami may have been a better choice but he was also very expensive in the few matches he has played. We can try Aaron for test matches. For the shorter formats, he is a big liability to the team with his present level of control - he will cost us a lot of matches until he learns proper control. Yes dhonis csk picks are never with out some merit. They are not awful players but they also often not the best But when its a 80/20 pick i.e 80 for non csk player and 20 for csk player. The csk boy gets the nod. Is given great chances, backed, used tactically well. Every chance given to them. Notice how Mohit did not get one 1 over spell, despite it being T20, always got new ball as well. Contrast that to how yadav was used in 50 over format, 10 spell for 13 overs. Nothing suspicious in this at all cough cough. I think aaron got one over spells in warm up games as well. Its so obvious whats happening here apart from head in sand brigade. Certain players which are in Dhonis and CSKs finical interests are picked, given massive long ropes, backed, used well, every chance given to them to develop and establish. No wonder one is left scratching head and left with no choice but to pick them as they are always picked and allowed to develop and forge reputations. Look how Mishra and Rahane were made to carry drinks for a year before getting chance (Mishra got chance due to kohli anyway)
