saneindian Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Even towards the end of his career, Kapil was our best bowler in that 1991-92 series. A true legend and rightfully the best ever Indian cricketer.

Lurker Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Thanks Rob. Would you happen to have the Test match videos of Indian trip down under 85-86? India came close to winning 1 and was in a strong position in another (the series was ultimately a draw). Would love to see that, specially Indian bowling

Lurker Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 kapil was really good in WI too. all round stud bowler at his peak, too bad he never had any support He is 2nd in the list of wicket taking bowler list against WI. Imran was outstanding against WI as well. This in fact differentiates Kapil and Imran from Hadlee and Botham. The former duo have great record against the most dominating team of its time. Kapil Dev may very well have the best record against them.

Sorry I should have been clearer. I meant all-around record, including batting. Kapil has some great innings against the pace battery

Botham wasn't in same league as bowler as other three. But was best with bat i would reckon.
