Thats not the point. I just don't understand how these bowlers get selected. Is this just quota ?

Srinath 150+ :hysterical: srinath was your modern day dinda can get the ball up to 147 but mostly 137 or so.
The joke is on you, Srinath was officially clocked at 149kph at the 1999 World Cup, faster than Waqar Younis in the same tournament. Akram has always looked like a fast medium bowler than a genuine quick.

Who are you? You should be thankful karnataka has produced some of india's greatest cricketers.vinay was selected because he had great ranji stats at that time(blame ranji batsmen for getting iut to him).

India has never really produced too many out and out fast bowlers who have had long careers. All i can say is that Venkatesh Prasad might be the reason for more trundlers than average in the karnataka ranji team.

+1 They are all selected on the basis of Ranji stats.

Was a fine ODI player' date=' better than Dodda , Vinay and mithun etc :giggle:[/quote'] But point here is not good or bad. Point is trundler or not trundler. Madanlal was a trundler. If anything VK would have definitely been quicker than him.

The ratio of Trundler coming from Karnataka is alot compared to others Maharashtra is the region where fast bowlers are born umesh-yadav-happy-with-his-performance-in-ipl-5-1267.jpg

but he is just one bowler. He still needs to develop a lot though.

I watched pattinson bowl he bowled his heart out in the recent test series. Still cant understand why our bowlers cant do that. I really liked the aussies they never complained about pitches after losing but tried hard to win. Think we should really learn from them.

Let not target Karnathka alone here, we have hardly produce any world class bowler in India We should be thankful that a bowler like Srinath bowled for India, he might not be as great as Pakistani greats but he has done a great service for India.

Have seen prasad' date=' dodda ganesh, vinay kumar from karantaka. Dont cite just the pakistan match to say good things about prasad i have seen him getting spanked by jayasuriya so many times.[/quote'] Karnataka will most likely field the most potent XI amongst all state teams, including Bombay. It may also go toe to toe against Bombay in all time XI clash.

Punjab hasn't produced a single phasst bowler.
Have you ever heard of this guy called, Kapil Dev? This man was easily best fast bowler we have ever produced. Also speaking of Punjab, if it was wasnt for our Punjabi cricketers our team would be nothing. Take out Yuvraj Singh, Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir and Sehwag than this team would be of minnow standard. Not being a regionalist but it is a fact Punjab has produced the most number of great cricketers.
