We need to be honest, the people int he Southern parts of our country arent strong enough to be good fast bowlers. Punjab is hub that has produced the most numbers of quality cricketers

Well Srinath was from Karnataka. I would to have loved to have seen speed guns in wide use when he bowled at his peak. He was the second fastest bowler after Akhtar in the 1999 WC. Faster than Donald, Akram, Younis, Klusener, Gough, McGrath. That was after his major shoulder injury as well. So in his peak he would have bowled over 150 numerous times. I got his autograph on the 1996 tour to England, he was a really nice guy, maybe too nice for a fast bowler. Even on that day against Minor County Association he looked really fast and clean bowled a few of their players.

Don't think Irfan Pathan is express either. His average speed is lower than Vinay kumar's speed. Ishant has better speeds. But his record is appalling at test level. So is Agarkar's record. Apart from Zaheer for a brief period every seamer we have tried are crappy or couldn't sustain longer. It is nothing to do with region. It is to do with entire country. How many fast bowlers were produced by Bengal or Hyderabad or Madhyapradesh or Gujarat?
