rishi dhawan....not bad at all

i guess we need to see how he performs on a pacy pitch. He is not slow, was bowling 130 plus. so is not a trundler. His batting though, you just knew he would be out first ball looking at him. Dont know if it was nerves or not. Its going to be hard to see any young talent express themselves in the ipl via the likes of MI, RCB, CSK etc. Rishi needs to engineer a move to Rajasthan, Sun risers or Punjab. The smaller teams of the IPL. Look at Rahane, flopped at MI due to lack of chances and no security of a slot. Is prospering at Rajasthan. Same for Dhawan, flopped at MI (after a good showing for Delhi) and prospered last season at Deccan. If Rahane now moves back to MI he will prosper again. But he would never have been able to establish himself at MI. You need a reputation before you get a run at MI.

He was decently quick in his early days.
but does not that happen with most of our bowlers? start of at about 85-87 and end up bowling about 75-80 for most of their career?

in the case of rishi dhawan it must be said he does have the physical stock (atleast looking at him) to keep his pace consistently above 130 km per hour.

So after first game he was a 'potential' and now after 1 bad return he's now "trundler"? :hysterical: Wrist slitters out in full force
That would make sense if the same person switched his stance after one game, but on a forum you are bound to find all kinds of views at any given time, so if Dhawan had performed well you could have equally reversed 'potential' and 'trundler'. Are you expecting ICF to have some uniform, sanctioned voice?

Having said that, looks like he has enough potential to be pushed to India A side; esp he has good domestic season. Allrounder are so imp for the ODI side with the new ODI rules.
