gakgupta Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 onitially thought he would be someone likelike sanjay banger or robin singh. but this guy is way better than them......on a flat pitch he bowled 2 beautifl outswingers......how good is he with bat???
Number Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Good catch. He is batting all rounder right ? Need to watch his batting, not getting a chance to bat so far.
kubrickian Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 He has good FC stats. He bowled well today in the IPL on a flat track. He looks like a proper seamer, bowling around 130-135 with a good seam position and also has a batting average of 42. Could be a good all rounder. Let's see what he does in the future.
rkt.india Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 He can be good on seaming conditions but is too slow.
kubrickian Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 He can be good on seaming conditions but is too slow. Not everyone has to bowl 145, mate. There are plenty of bowlers who do a good job of bowling 130-135 and bowl a good line and length and try to move the ball and pick wickets. Dont behave like those Pakis who are obsessed with phasshshst boilers even if they bowl rubbish. They are more interested in speedometer than watching the actual game.
tweaker Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 A good fast bowling allrounder. He had a good ranji season with both bat and bowl.He got noticed inspite of playing for a weak team
FischerTal Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 he has a good physique. he should be able to bowl faster than 130 lollipops

[/quote'] Unless a pacer is highly skilled like Bhuvi, pace of atleast 135 k to 140 k is required. Also, all the pacers bowling in the 130s is not good for a bowling attack. Problem is , if Umesh is absent, our bowling attack would be that. We have 3 skilled medium pacers and our requirement is a good quicker bowler. ( not a bad one though like Ishant )
gakgupta Posted April 14, 2013 Author Posted April 14, 2013 for an allrounder....he is decent with bowl.....can do irfan pathan role in non subcontinent condition

To be slow and really succeessful, one needs to be really good at his skills and consistency like Philander or Mcgrath which most Indian bowlers lack whether they are quick or slow like Dhawan. and there are not many such bowlers in world.
Texan Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Could be a good bits and pieces player for ODIs. Not seen his batting though.
Sidhoni Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Good bowling. Ponting was very excited by his swing.
msb1991 Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Could be a good bits and pieces player for ODIs. Not seen his batting though. Only one fifty in OD cricket but he's only 23 and I think he'll grow into a fine all-rounder.
G_B_ Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 probably needs to move away from mumbai indians and goto a franchise where he is guaranteed a game.
G_B_ Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 **** performance today 2 overs 20 runs and 0 with the bat first ball
