RIP to those dead. WOW. This is totally unexpected, completely out of the blue. That too at a marathon race?

Not much checking security wise...out in the open on public streets not an enclosed arena with much tighter security. 26000 people attending. If you want to cause harm and need maximum victims, this is the perfect target. Remember those 2 planes leaving Boston Logan airport were chosen as they had a full tank of gas going cross country all the way to Cali.
