Ban red bricks! It is a disgrace we are still using these sh!te quality low strength bricks. No point blaming engineers. If you pay peanuts you get monkeys. It is scary seeing so many 10 storey+ buildings being constructed using red bricks across India.

The story that shocked me the most was about Shahana, who was alive in debris for 5 days, and the rescuers promised her that they would get her alive, but then couldnt due to a fire that was caused by the oxygen and drill machine... She begged the rescuers and told them to save her and she said she wanted to see her 2 kids.. :'(

That's a tricky one for the corporations, and almost all of them are into the rat race. The enforcement has to come from the govts of developing nations.

What is your opinion on products from China consumed by thousands of Amreekans? Are you ok paying 1.5 times the cost for the same product?

Yes I would absolutely pay 2-3x more and it would be an added incentive not to buy things I don't need. Some of the responsibility also lies with the corrupt govt of these countries that let things slide for bribes. Building inspectors, engineers, architects, city officials.
