Gunner Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 My bowling attack: Umesh Yadav Bhuvnesh Ishant Amit Mishra Jadeja / Ashwin
Gunner Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Shami Ahmed is not in the squad. Will probably go on the A tour.
rkt.india Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 My bowling attack: Umesh Yadav Bhuvnesh Ishant Amit Mishra Jadeja / Ashwin Mishra is useless in England. dont compare his performance on Indian pitches to how will he do in England. Remember how he was thrashed in England last time. Even Jaddu is not going to do much there. We need 4 seam options. 3 specialist, 1 seaming alrounder probably Irfan Pathan.
G_B_ Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 hmm india are leaving it a bit late. most sides have their squads out.
King Tendulkar Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Craptan is hopless. Bowling is so mediocre its not even funny. Plus his batting is so overrated, never does anything with bat. Should not be classed as all rounder
King Tendulkar Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Jadeja can play as all rounder. No probs having 2 spinners in england in odis. Especially when second is a genuine all rounder. No jajdeja and dhoni i will only make batsman bowl a overs instead:cantstop:
King Tendulkar Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Team will be 2 spinners (one of them jadeja) and 3 pacers

rkt.india Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 You need a proper 5th bowler now in ODIs since the change rules of field restrictions and 2 new balls from both ends. Spinners and part timers role is reduced especially at places like England.
I6MTW Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 A person who can play tests with a less than 25 average and 60 SR in bowling and the ability to score triple centuries and the recent test innings of 43 off 49 is not a bits and pieces player.
saneindian Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Seam Bowlers- BK, Ishant , Umesh and VK will most likely be there. Dinda will be kicked out. Rhiti Singh is a darkhorse, will fight for the final pacers slot with Irfan. Shami would also be the likely fall guy :(( Not played enough matches for KKR, though the conditions would suit his style of bowling perfectly. I wouldn't mind him being picked ahead of Umesh. Spinners- Ashwin and Jaddu Batsmen- Dhawan, Rahane, Kohli, Raina, Rohit, Yuvraj Keepers- Dhoni and DK Looking at the options available and our recent record in England, reaching even the semis looks tough.

Consider the conditions. He can play that role on Indian pitches, not in England. Remember last time he played an ICC event in England. He has not been able to complete his quota of 4 overs in T20s even in India.

He had scores of above 70 and decent bowling figures.

He will be in the squad but I will play a seam bowler who can use those conditions like Irfan.

We just need an all rounder to make balance of team. Crapthan is rubbish with bat and ball. To me he is not even an option as he is poor Jajdeja is good with bat and ball. Jadeja was brilliant in last load of odis, crazy to drop one of our best players just cos he is spinner. Plus he is our best fielder. Him as 5th bowler and also batsman is way forward. If tests then yes 2 spinners is no good but in odis it will be ok.

Pathan has a better record both as batsman and bowler in ODIs than Jadeja. Jadeja will be useless in those conditions. Last time too when he came back, he did well with the bat. In England, conditions will suit his bowling too.
rkt.india Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 It will be harsh on Shami if he is dropped. BK Umesh Ishant Shami Irfan/VK/PK my pace pool.
saneindian Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 RKT VK is the highest wicket taker in IPL right now, no way he is going to be ignored. On Umesh, I am still not sure if he should be playing shorter formats. Has bowled well this IPL, but doubt he can bowl 10 overs with the same consistency as borne out by his average List A record.

You need variety in attack, so Umesh will be there. He is the only bowler who has some pace.
Lord Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 my team: KKD Dhawan Kohli Yuvi Raina Dhoni Jaddu Ashwin BK Umesh Shami Reserves: Rayudu PK Rassool Irfan no point going back to GG,Sehwag,Mooli.
