I see this as a conspiracy to taint 2 qualifying teams like MI and RR... Where as nothing can't be done in matches involving CSK (although the most blatant of fixing, RP bowling huge noball happened in one of their matches)...

Blame games. IPL organization committee will look to blame something, they are not gonna blame themselves. So the blame will eventually go to the team, the captain, and the supporting players. That's very unfortunate really. Thus, as mentioned, the future of RR is a concern as well especially when BCCI had already tried to remove them once.

Somewhere down the line, one will be blamed for not preventing these fixings. And the likely target is always the parties with less power, in this case RR for not doing enough.

by making this system of capped players being sold for a far higher amount than uncapped players (even if the capped players are not that talented) the IPL governing council has made an environment that encourages corruption, especially when the uncapped players see the likes of Tiwary going for 1.6 mllion, Maxwell for 1 million and many other mediocre players going for astronomical prices while uncapped players get 10 times less even when they are more talented and better performers in some cases.
