I will not be hostile and I'm genuinely curious as to who the TN cricket legends are.
Cheeka may come close.. But it doesn't matter in cricketing terms, he is generalising too much..

If someone has to name a corrupt shyte in India other than Politicians, all of the 100 billion will be pointing out the Ambanis. All of us here atleast know how they manhandle the rules of IPL openly. When such is the case, its pathetic that MI fans say CSK is corrupted. Just on Monday here we heard voices saying MI has chosen to boycott this tournament as they dont like winning the cup in a tainted season. Now here come you guys have found the team that you might play in Finals is a corrupt team. Why dont you moral lords pull out? :hmmm:
what do u expect from stupids? They will even abuse and call CSK fans are arrogant :winky:

Clarification - You mean to say Srikkanth is the ONLY close to cricket legend from India who hails from TN right?

Sorry how is Ambani corrupt? And CSK was equal partner in manhandling the rules openly.

VB Chandra is different from BS Chandra... From the list it appears that detonator has a very low standard for declaring people as legends...they may be legends in TN, but a nobody outside

Atleast in TN cricket But you were generalising.. TN is lot more than that..

VB Chandrasekhar is from Karnataka (Bangalore if I'm not wrong). L Siva and Robin Singh played 10 Test matches for India. And Gopalan - who? :dontknow: S Venkataraghavan is definitely a good candidate for a nominee but in terms of international cricket you wouldn't call him a "legend". Domestic sure but not international. I think it's a well known fact that TN despite being a domestic cricket power house has produced very few international quality players.

3:13 pm: According to the IPL rulebook, the Chennai Super Kings will be scrapped from the IPL if its CEO Gurunath Meiyappan is arrested. 3:08 pm: BCCI chief N Srinivasan will step down if his son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan is arrested, say sources.

That's the best out of TN :(( But he meant to say TN has no legends in sports, which is wrong

All this IMO boils down to Tamil fans of CSK protecting what they see as their only success in domestic cricket. If Mumbai were to be accused or this i for one would disown them. Probably because in the back of my mind i know that Mumbai are 40 time ranji and current ranji champions and have produced plenty of Indian cricketing legends over the past 80 odd years. Most Mumbaikars would think that way. You look at TN and they are 2 time ranji champions the last of which happened about a decade ago. I cant think of a single legend for India who has come out of TN. The only thing which is bringing their city and state the glory are the CSK franchise. There is nothing to fall back on. I think thats why the CSK brigade will defend their team come what may. That is a pathetic attitude to have IMO.
I hadn't seen this G_B_ post which I believe is being accused of "generalization". I do not see how something is wrong in what he said. TN has been a domestic attractive cricket centre but it has produced close to no international quality players for the Indian cricket team. I don't see how this is "generalization" - just plain facts merely..
