veer Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Has anybody read this book?? I finished it last night and have to say it was very good until it had bollywoodish end. Not revealing too much if anybody is thinking of reading it.

In fact, I have read only two books in my lifetime.. :cantstop: One is his 'Two States' and another is 'Revolution 2020'.. My wife had 'Two States' and i just read few pages for the hack of it and then got hooked up.. finished the book in few days.. The other one I wanted something to read on flight coming back from India and I made a point to buy one of CB's books... and again got hooked on to it ... Reading is good actually..It gives you a lot of different perspective specially in this cell phone/ipad age.. I regret not to be a reader.

Lord Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Revolution 2020 is very good book.but yeah ending is a bit over the top and filmy.but you guess it from the beginning havent read two states but they are making a movie on it.will watch that. FPS is Bhagat's best work.'3 Mistakes of my life' is good too but bit OTT.Film Kai Po Che is better

kubrickian Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 people still actually read books :boring: I'm a film buff but even I will say that most movies will never be as good as well written books. It takes more effort to read a book but you get lot more out of it. A movie is only 100-120 minutes long but a book can be anywhere from 400-450 pages so you get more character exploration, story, plot, ideas etc and it makes you think and use your imagination a lot more. Also, a book costs nothing to write. So the author can write anything he wants without any restrictions whereas with a film, a director is restricted in many ways because it costs a lot of money to make.

Sachin=GOD Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 The only book by Bhagat I read was "the 3 mistakes of my life" and after reading it I realized that the decision to read that book was one of the mistakes of my life. Since then I haven't read any of his books.
