ykvyas Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Suggest including number of matches for each tournament so one could correlate with expectations.
carnish Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 Suggest including number of matches for each tournament so one could correlate with expectations. Done
FischerTal Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 anything less than series wins would be considered disappointing as of now
Sean Bradley Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Champions Trophy achieved, no more Chuttu Muttur Cups now, next goal should be a Test Series win on South African soil.
NareshK Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 The only series which is of importance for me after Champions Trophy is the next test series against South Africa. All other series are just making up numbers.
SLICKR392 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 The only series which is of importance for me is the next test series against South Africa. All other series are just making up numbers. ++ A series win there is the biggest of all!
adi B Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 a good +ve show in safrica is all what i want,possibly win a test
carnish Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 The only series which is of importance for me after Champions Trophy is the next test series against South Africa. All other series are just making up numbers. How would it feel if we lose Celkon Cup after winning CT. Australia was No.1 for so many years for some reason right?? And it is we only who later on go on to say that India doesn't dominate World Cricket. :headshake:
carnish Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 Seriously dissapointed in you guys ... how can we go on to dominate cricket if we don't win these chotu mottu cups??? We cannot go back to the days where we lost most finals just because we couldn't ... only this time it would be cause we are not interested. Plus winning is a habit, if we don't win chotu motu cups we won't have the right attitude and doubts and complacency will creep into the side.
adi B Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 off course we`ll win those chhotu cups and the odis vs oz that is why i only mentioned doing well in safrica :dontknow:
NareshK Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 How would it feel if we lose Celkon Cup after winning CT. Australia was No.1 for so many years for some reason right?? And it is we only who later on go on to say that India doesn't dominate World Cricket. :headshake: Yeah, it would be nice if we win consistently and win all the Celkon Cups, Airtel Cups and what have you but what I'm personally looking forward to is the next test series in SA which will be a big challenge for our team.
Pagalpanti Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I just hope we dont get humiliated in 7 match ODI series in SA. Even with our best teams our batting has struggled big time there.
hhunaeh Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Isn't the aim of the zimbabwe series to test new players?
India-KXIP fan Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Ishant already has started reaching his potential, soon he will become strike bowler. Yadav will also develop into world class bowler. With a strong bowling attack Im expecting India to be dominant like Aussie sides, at least for ODI.
G_B_ Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 yeah i dont really care much about these odi series. but if i had to have goals for the 2013-2014 season in general - defeat south africa in a test series (unlikely) - defeat south africa away in an ODI bilateral series.
carnish Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 Guys, its not only about the team ... This season can be a good point in the careers of many of our future stars and hence from that point of view, its important, we see how these players develop and become permanent for a long time. Its not about winning one odd series but developing future stars for India.
Nikhil_cric Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Lol. Some people think we can actually dominate RSA in RSA. Without a quality pace attack that is just not happening. Btw facing Steyn,Morkel,Philander,Abbott/De Lange in SA is way more challenging than playing AUS in AUS and ENG in ENG. Have people already forgotten what happened on those tours?
Cricashfaq Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 India's improvement in Tests especially in away series...Tour of South Africa will be the ideal one...Series win in that will satisfy me more than anything else
