G_B_ Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 ok so gambhir will be 33 by the next world cup. Thats still not exactly old. Most players usually hit their prime at that age 28-33 after that wc maybe you can say goodbye to yuvi and gambhir as they will be 37 by 2019
trundlerNO1 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 He looked woefully out of touch in IPl, if he is back to his best then there is no better player than him in LOI. Let see if he can get his form back
saneindian Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Even a half fit Yuvi would walk into the current ODI 15, may not be a certain starter though. Look at the players on the bench - Irfan, Mishra, Vinay and Vijay. Yuvi can still replace Vijay as a batsman and other 3 as bowlers. So Yuvi get fit, play some domestic games and be ready to rock the Aussies in the ODIs later this year. The only hurdle will be if MSD doesn't want him in the ODI squad and instead asks for younger players. Selectors will be in no position to say not to Dhoni now.

Sandeep Patil has always been his own man. Maybe rather than the Aus ODIs coming up he should play a full ranji and domestic season. Then come back with a bang in T20 world cup.
vvvslaxman Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 India's problem is not batting now.. So they won't rush him. Death bowling is the biggest :fail: for India.
kruiser Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 UV will smash his way into the team and will retire after 2015 WC win!
Sean Bradley Posted July 3, 2013 Author Posted July 3, 2013 Absolutely need him in this team, the kind of fire power he adds to the batting, no DK, Rohit, Rayudu can bring in. 120 needed of last 10, and yuvraj is the middle, you can never lose your hope can you?
saneindian Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 A couple of more similar performances and Sehwag, Gambhir, Yuvraj, Zaheer, Bhajji even Nehra, Praveen, Munaf, Dinda, RP- all will be back in demand again!
