kubrickian Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 These guys just lack the temperament and the mental strength to do well at the international level. They may do well in FC or in IPL, but their body language suggests they cant handle pressure when they play for India. Temperament and mental strength is a big factor when you are playing for the national team. If you dont have it, you wont cut it no matter how talented or skillful you are. Dhoni is not the best when it comes to technique but the guy is tough as nails mentally and always battles it out. You need more people like him in every walk of life in India and not overrated tailunts.
G_B_ Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 DK deserves his chance. Mooli should not have been selected
The Realist Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Mooli BJ is hopeless in the limited over format as unable to rotate the strike and accumulates dot balls like they are going out of fashion. Jury still out on DK as looks good in flashes but never seems to go on and score big.
G_B_ Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 India seem to have a lot of talented yet temperamental players
King Tendulkar Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Yes Yes one loss from the number one ranked team and I agree lets get rid of everyone Time to panic. Heads must roll So according to ICF these players who must go Vijay Rohit Ishant Yadav Jadeja (been found out apparently) Shami (another trundler) Kohli (dedicated club in this regards) So only 4 remain Dhawan Dhoni BK Ashwin All the rest axed!
kumar713 Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I have feeling DK will be dropped with rohit moving down the order making way for sehwag/gambhir comeback
StriKe Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 People were praising after his two hundred in warm up and now they wanted him to be out of ODI team.
kumar713 Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 People were praising after his two hundred in warm up and now they wanted him to be out of ODI team. I haven't rated him even though he scored 2 hundreds in warm ups.Had he scored those in official matches i would have rated him.He is playing too defensively and then throwing away his wicket:facepalm:
Rocky Balboa Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Mooli has no idea on how to play odi. Dk looks playing for a place in Indian team. Not committed to team's cause.
kubrickian Posted July 3, 2013 Author Posted July 3, 2013 Yes Yes one loss from the number one ranked team and I agree lets get rid of everyone Time to panic. I never said anything about rest of them. I can only say Vijay has trouble rotating the strike and allows pressure to build on him in ODIs. In tests, he can play out as many balls as he wants but in ODIs he cant do that and that's where he fails. DK deserves a chance surely but what I've seen of him in the past is he is very inconsistent and throws his wicket away. Let's see what he does in the remaining games. They dont seem to do well under pressure which is important.
FischerTal Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 DK should stay. Mooli needs to go back to fecking DK's wife and quit cricket
Sachinism Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 DK should stay. Mooli needs to go back to fecking DK's wife and quit cricket I thought that's the reason the thread was made.
