G_B_ Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 He is known for sports conditioning in the UK. Seems both Yuvi and Zaheer want to be as fit as possible to regain their place in team India. Zaheer especially looks fitter than ever before. Its good to see them trying. They have not given up on a place in team India and are going to fight for their place. I feel India should move on from Zaheer but :hatsoff: to him for trying. Yuvi certainly looks as if he has lost a lot of weight. Zaheer looks physically fit to me.
vamos_rafa Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Zaheer is still skillful to be back. It's always been fitness isssues. Moreover, he may still be of prime use in tests if he's fit. Our test attack still needs a spearhead.

I am sure playing cricket too would have cut down the weight
saneindian Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 The program is of 6 weeks and they are into only the 2nd week of training!! Expect them to be leaner by the end of it. Kudos to them for trying, especially Zaheer. The domestic season schedule before the SA tests will give Zak the chance to play 4-5 FC matches and if he gets through that without any trouble, who knows an India comeback could well be possible. For Yuvraj its a matter of being fit. A fit Yuvraj will walk into the ODI side as the middle order has struggled. His place in the T20 side is anyways guaranteed irrespective of his fitness.
G_B_ Posted July 12, 2013 Author Posted July 12, 2013 thanks for the info sane. 6 weeks is good. They will for sure shed a lot of weight
vayuu1 Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Umesh, zakk(leaner and meaner) and Bhuvi would be awesome combo for us
philcric Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Fit Zak/Yuvi will still be great assets for India. Zak in tests and Yuvi in ODIs. Kudos to them for putting in the efforts.
vayuu1 Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Can somebody send viru and gauti their as well,as well as grandpa.
G_B_ Posted July 12, 2013 Author Posted July 12, 2013 dont think GG or Sachin have fitness issues. Sehwag for sure could use something like this.
rkt.india Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 A fit Zaheer back will be a great thing for us in SA because our attack is really inexperienced.
rkt.india Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Umesh' date='zakk(leaner and meaner) and Bhuvi would be awesome combo for us[/quote'] Umesh, the way he bowling does not look good, so inconsistent. Test matches are all about consistency even if you pace, you need control to direct that pace in right areas.

King Tendulkar Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 A fit zak would be fantastic If proves his fitness is a must for SA tour and worth a gamble taking Should not play odis again but in tests could be massive asset
India-KXIP fan Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Zak can do it one more time, he can be the spearhead in SA and then retire. Im sure he'll do a good job.

VRV Singh Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 It is great that Zaheer is doing this. The concern is that, even when he is fit, he looked to have lost the spark in his bowling that made him so dangerous. Like for the tour to Australia he was at his best physically for years. Perhaps that can change. Yuvraj will make it back to the ODI team. No doubt.
