cowboysfan Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Still not sold on Unadkat yeah ,me too but he deserves more chances because we can really use a left arm pacer in our team.
CG Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Shami is more a test prospect with the outswingers,he bowls in the right channel and also pitches it up.
jj_28 Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Their was a lot of hype on Shami Ahmed but he has done absolutely nothing in this tournament to justify that hype, Vinay Kumar did well with the bat but nothing with the bowl Undakat looks ok but nothing special, hopefully Mohit Sharma will get a chance next game. This tournament is justifying selectors decision of sticking with Ishant, Yadav in ODIs.
adi B Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 flamy is right, even i am not sold on unadkat, though for this series unadkat, mohit, shami should be the pacers.. for major one day series like the upcoming ones against aus and saf ,i would field bhuvi,yadav,mohit/pishant,aaron(if fit) as the pacers along with shami, unadkat(deserves at least few chances) as the backup..
adi B Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Shami is more a test prospect with the outswingers' date='he bowls in the right channel and also pitches it up.[/quote'] i concur.his opening spells in odis shows up for that
carnish Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Shami is more a test prospect with the outswingers' date='he bowls in the right channel and also pitches it up.[/quote'] + 1000000000000000 He along with Yadav and Bhuvi will be very good. But then again, the attack will become too one dimensional. We need Ishant to get back in form or find a good Left Arm Quick ... Maybe Suyal or Anwar.
MCcricket Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Shami had bowled well and is the best of the lot, Unadkat has improved but not team material among seniors, VK is mediocre am waiting for Mohit
saneindian Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Has Shami Ahmed put on a lot of weight? Looks chubby and the action isn't as strong and smooth as it used to be
rkt.india Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Has Shami Ahmed put on a lot of weight? Looks chubby and the action isn't as strong and smooth as it used to be Dont think so. Problem is with his runup. He has far big a strides in his runup for a short guy which sort of prevents him to put his all behind the ball.

Crookbond Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 The main pic is Shami and in the box is Shami when he will be old. :giggle:

King Tendulkar Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 I rate shami. Looks like would be good in tests. Wish someone with real pace like kaul had been given a go this series
rkt.india Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 I rate shami. Looks like would be good in tests. Wish someone with real pace like kaul had been given a go this series Kaul is not really pacy. Both Shami and Kaul have similar pace. Rahul Shukla and Pawan Suyal are the quickest bowlers in India after Yadav and Aaron.

Yeah it was shocking rr and mi just did not play them after good performances.Shukla has a rocket arm.Suyal is also a talent to watchout.

Even I wonder. They might not have the best control yet Shukla bowled well in 2 out of the 3 matches he played in IPL and took important wickets.
MCcricket Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 India probably has the best batch of potential bowlers in their history, Aaron, Umesh, Suyal, Shukla, Pankaj, Kaul, Pandey, Shami, while the first four are fast and can bowl in the 90's, Kaul, PANKAJ, SHAMI, Pandey are fast medium and have skills to move the ball at good pace, BK being very good selectors need to look past, Ishant, VK, GIVE THESE YOUNGSTERS A GO, ALSO aNIKET cHOUDHURY, aNWAR aHMED ARE TWO PROMISING VERY TALL F/M BOWLERS WHO NEED TO BE ON A TOURS, most frustrating is the case of Pankaj Singh am not sure why he is not in India colors for last 3 years .
