He would have made it into any other team in any era. He only could play when Warne had an injury or when they played in SC and needed two spinners.

If he had been born at ANY other time in any country, he would have been among the top 5 Spin bowlers of all time. Look at the turn he's getting in a test match at the SCG. Not really, they got more chances and took more responsibility just because they had a weak team ... Had they been in a better side, they would have got less chances. Yes, they would have won a little more but individually speaking, their numbers would have been a little less than what it is now. The only thing which might have been good is maybe they would have got the chances to play more tests but I guess back in those days even Zimbabwe used to play similar number of tests as what India and New Zealand did.

They would have still been the main players of the team, if they had 2-3 decent players with them, they could have won more matches for their team or at least put up a greater fight.

So Pakistan probably would have been his best option anyway. Wouldn't want to be him. Among the lesser teams probably he could walk into the WI side that's been missing Chanderpaul since he retired.

The number of catches that fell on apparently empty grounds was frustrating not to mention the actual misses, drops, escort service to boundary ropes, hopping over the ball at a perpendicular angle, or just watching the ball roll by with hand on hips like someone in the queue at a Mahila Chikitsa Center.
