Yeah wether its u23 or A games. Its not neccessarily about winning. Its about players learning, improving and selctors finding out about some players and how good they are. Not about producing good teams but good indivduals who can play for senior india team. SL in semis is perfect

Afghanistan pull off a notable victory against an India U-23 side packed with IPL and Ranji Trophy players. A Pyrrhic victory of sorts though, India U-23 scored enough runs in defeat to claim that second place in Group A above Afghanistan. Those four byes off the last ball made a difference! India just pip Pakistan to top the table.

UAE and Afghaninstan winning against U-23 sides of Test playing nations. Guess the purpose of holding this tournament has been well served. More impressive for Afghan as they were without Hamid Hasan and Dawlat Zardan, two of their best players. Important lesson for our U-23 side. They need to perhaps play one more specialist spinner instead of 3 seamers.

I think defeat came at the right time. The playes would be feel a bit ashamed but would put up a strong performance from here on. UAE will be beaten badly and whoever come sin final between Lanka and Pakistan, shall face the same wrath. OMG, INDIA will win another tournament. We are too good.
