FischerTal Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 anyways this is my last post on this thread. its quite clear that ganran and prakat are right in saying that media does influence people's perception of beauty as per the race of different people. its most evident here in america where for the most part being white is considered to be better than anything else, especially in places like Arizona, Texas, and the Bible Belt. Even in California, to some extent, despite being an outright liberal state, whites are considered to be more beautiful in some quarters than brown or black as i know from personal experience. my only tiff was this ridiculous assumption that westerners would find freida pinto more beautiful than kareena kapoor.
