Austrailia's concerted effort to unsettle England with a war of words continued as both Shane Watson and Michael Clarke got stuck into Kevin Pietersen. Watson reportedly told Pietersen he had to ‘look after the child’ — a reference to Bell’s diminutive stature. I do believe that KP got out soon after this verbal spat. So clear it worked for the Aussies. I am surprised Australia did not do this before. I think England will face a lot of heat and grief from the Aussie players and crowd in Australia.

Australia do well when they are up in the opposition's face and get all pumped up. Playing like gentlemen has never worked for them. I dont understand why they have mellowed down over the years.

^ One of the reasons I like them. Under Clarke, in India, they were very mellow in the first 3 Tests and when Watto took over the 4th one, all hell broke loose between our players and theirs.
