G_B_ Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Its fair to say there is a pro Haryana/Punjab bias in general on this forum. The classic case is somebody like Mohit Sharma. I dont think sabby is a biased one though.
Old guy Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Its fair to say there is a pro Haryana/Punjab bias in general on this forum. The classic case is somebody like Mohit Sharma. I dont think sabby is a biased one though. i am trying to remember player i defended in recent past one is vijay other is ashwin and i want to be consistent nad said all guys deserve atleast 2-3 chances in odis (like unadkat ) so that he can be judged now completely and there is no if or but later on. same with mohit i had discussion with you G_B that he deserves a decent run (atleast south africa series ) after that drop him if there is problem. i do not see any connection with punjab or haryana here and i honestly feel bit offended that some one would say it just because i am from that region ... i even said dhawan is as bad as vijay and that rahane should be ahead of mandeep last season (mandeep is some one one i have actually played cricket with bunking from college in first year :P ! ) also i never defended bhajji or even yuvraj ..i do not see connection and before i joined htis forum i had no idea people favor their regions so much and that there is so much tension with north and south indians :cantstop:
Yantra Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Mohit and Rishi both are crap, not international class.
tweaker Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Rishi Dhawan is the highest wicket taker in the Ranji season. So i dont think he is a bit and pieces player. He is a player in a weak team.If he is scoring 50s with this team, i think he is a decent batsman.Considering his speed,Dhoni was near the stumps when Mohit Sharma was bowling in the WI series. I dont consider him to be our bowling spearhead,i will like him to be 3rd change bowler in the overseas series.
Sidhoni Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 He is picking a fifer every match. Not sure on what basis people can call him 'crap'. ICF can be pathetic at times.
nsareen Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 I agree, folks are unnecessary undermining his calibre. There is certainly no harm in giving him a chance, I feel being a captain of the team and single handedly taking them to the top of the group demands RESPECT, weather the conditions are home or away, to do it consistently acknowledges the temperament! I feel he has some a round skills and can't be as bad as vinay kumar & ishant sharma. He can be a good 3rd seamer in SA, AUS, ENG Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
fineleg Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 How do u think 'vennai theeya velai koomar' made it into indian team? Or how did u think ami daaku ronodeb bose made it to squad? Or unadkat? They all swing and take plenty domestic wickets. Bowling at less than 130 and taking domestic wkts doesnt prove much. Send RD for A tours for a year or two first. Based on that it can be evaluated.
Unleashed Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Believe me. He's crap. Joke of a fast bowler and a very ordinary batsman. Some Haryani and Punjabi boys are hyping him like they hyped mohit Sharma. You're a ****ing idiot. Hope this helps.
Unleashed Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 He's amongst the highest wicket taker this season, playing for a weak team. He also was a regular part of the winning MI IPL Team. Add to the fact that he can bat a bit and you can see why sensible people are clamouring for his selection. According to ICF, if you rate a player then there's must be a location or a player bias and it has nothing to do with the actual quality of the player.
Zanjeer Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 You're a ****ing idiot. Hope this helps. No. This doesn't help. You suck. :giggle::winky:
cowboysfan Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 the same thing was said about bhuvi(and he is still doubted by speed freaks),rishi needs a fair chance for his effort .
SLICKR392 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Mohit and Rishi both are crap' date=' not international class.[/quote'] Okay.
SLICKR392 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 the same thing was said about bhuvi(and he is still doubted by speed freaks)' date='rishi needs a fair chance for his effort .[/quote'] Even about Shami. Plenty of hatred when he was bowling in Zimb and now he is the new 'savior' of all ICFers.
Zanjeer Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Let him first play in some other venue. In dharmasala every Tom dick and Harry is picking wickets. Let him prove on some other pitches. Unnecessary hype on this ordinary cricketer. Mysore pitch used to be one of the fastest and helpful pitch in India. Our hero Vinny the pooh played on this pitch time and again and picked loads and loads of wickets. Guess what, he topped the charts and he was picked for India. We don't want another Vinny in the making. That's all I m saying.

In the remaining test, both of the teams scored 300. How exactly is that good for bowling?

In the remaining test, both of the teams scored 300. How exactly is that good for bowling? lol. Against which team did they scored those runs? On group c you get the *****iest team and our hero rishi dhawan is gonna pick wickets since he is as good as Vinny. The problem is in group c you won't even get players like Vinny or rishi dhawan. I may be wrong that not every bowler is picking wickets but that doesn't mean you have an high quality bowler in our hands. We have seen him bowl in Ipl matches, he is just ordinary. Anyway its my opinion about him. You don't have to agree with me. I don't blame you for having a different opinion.
GoldenSun Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 He is picking a fifer every match. Not sure on what basis people can call him 'crap'. ICF can be pathetic at times. Wasn't Dhawan considered ****/crap/hack just 10 months ago? :haha:
msb1991 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Wasn't Dhawan considered ****/crap/hack just 10 months ago? :haha: Definitely a lot of people considered him crap.
gakgupta Posted December 1, 2013 Author Posted December 1, 2013 With all the comments aside, he is making a serious case of a strong contender for next india A side......He is the only all-rounder in hand right now for india and selectors should back him..... Allrounders are always good for game...He might not a quality one but selectors should back him so that he can become one.... OZZIE, England do a lot of backing for allrounders...
tweaker Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 If Rishi Dhawan perfomance of last 2 ranji season is considered,he should have been selected for the SA odi series. In the squad there r 3 spinners.Selectors could have tried him in place of Amit Mishra. If Mishra was not picked up for home series ,I doubt he may be considered for SA series. He could have replaced Jadeja and bat below Dhoni and bowled 3rd change as a bowler.
