gakgupta Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I think he is pretty good and should be considered for A tours. Have been seeing him from last 2 matches and he was really good. Like with any other indian bowler down with pace. To push for a place in indian side, either increase pace by few yards (atleast 5 k) or should be consistent with Bat. Haven't seen him batting though...
fineleg Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 What shud we do with a poor man's irfan pathan? At his best, ikp was a far better bowler and better batsman than RD Maybe RD ok for T20
Laaloo Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 So Rahul Dravid is a poor man's Irfan Pathan now. I always knew it. Good to see the dravid bhakt having a reality check.
Unleashed Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Needs to improve his batting from what I've seen. His bowling is decent, I could see him making a debut in the ODI team in the next year or so.
Soorma_Bhopali Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 JUST LIKE EOIN MORGAN's SIX OF THE LAST BALL IN T20 INTERNATIONAL in DEC 2012 KILLED PROJECT DINDA,I HOPE FAULKNER's 30 RUN BLITZ ISHANT THE. "UNDERACHIEVER" 's INTL.CAREER.
Soorma_Bhopali Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Rishi dhawan can be the death bowler for India ...I have seen him bowling lot of Yorkers in IPL for Mumbai Indians ..he seems to be the best ofthe lot and can over handy runs also in the lower order.
G_B_ Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Rishi Dhawan is most certainly not a death bowler. However he can do a very good job for India in the middle overs, is a very good fielder and a decent bat at to have down the order. Much better option than Ishant or Vinay. Bowls around the 130 mark and has the height and build for it.
NareshK Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 He is a good prospect for ODI all rounder role. Definitely one to look out for. Hopefully he will get his chance soon.

Cricketics Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I hope he is allowed to bowl a lot before we pick him in Indian team. Let's not make him Rishard Hadlee Dhawan. Let's keep him Rishi Dhawan, and let him play.
Ghost Buster Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Himachal plays in group c against weaker opponents. Have seen is bowling nothing special, though he may have improved.
gakgupta Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 Himachal plays in group c against weaker opponents. Have seen is bowling nothing special' date=' though he may have improved.[/quote'] May be his Ranji Matches performance might not count....but his performance for MI should be counted......He is nothing special but India doesn't have Dale steryn's waiting in the wings.....with the limited resources, we have to pick and he should eb considered.
Zanjeer Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I would pick him if he is a batting all-rounder, but it seems he is a trundler picking wickets against lesser teams in dharmasala. Heck, Stuart binny or a abishek nayar are better than him. Lets not hype these nobodies.

If his performance is that of an alrounder then he can be considered for tests. Bowlers like pankaj singh toil hard in ranji's for yrs still not even included in A tours.

Trundler27 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 While i don't support hyping any talent so early on, let's not go the other extreme and put them down in the dumps. He is performing consistently with both bat and ball and he is a decent enough seamer who managed to get into the MI setup (which I assume is not that easy). If he keeps topping some of these charts while garnering attention playing in the ipl (which unfortunately is the only way to get attention in Indian domestic cricket these days) then he has a shot of making our 'A' teams in the coming seasons.
