And Unmkut Chand is a classic example of a player who was highly overrated and overhyped and people were claiming that he should be rushed into 'A' squads or even international squad. i am sick of this never ending nonsense . chand and Samson are being hyped because of high talent.it happens anywhere in the world. get over it...that's the way it is in the real world. if you are highly talented, you are already marked for prospective great success. talent is not about data at all..its about detecting brilliance and high gifts in a player regardless of results. for example here, is this French girl-caroline Garcia ....here is andy murray posting the same opinion"The girl Sharapova is playing is going to be number one in the world one day ... what a player" look at her results--a few days she won 3 games vs maria.nothing or very little in results to show high talent..ask a tennis talent scout, they will say she is very talented

FC record is relevant only for his current level. not everyone is going to get the same yardstick.... a few exceptionally talented players often leapfrog the queue regardless of fc record.others may have to go through the process. how soon chand or Samson will be taken in depends on calls made by selectors...for example vengsarkar saw kohli play a knock in Australia and made his case for inclusion 1.5 years after his u 19 victory...srikkanth followed kohli's bigger exploits in the following year in the same tournament and made way for his comeback.... likewise similar calls may be made depending on their maturity and growth.

Stupid argument? u are claiming Laxman is better test player than Lara and Sachin....Iam only saying that Chand is not a hack, even though he has poor first class record..that is why I posted Vijay's recent Ranji stats.

I am judging him based on his A tour performance and his scores in this season for Kerala where he scored a double and others struggled to even score a 50. Of what I have seen him on Ranji (1 game) and IPL, there seems to be nothing wrong in his technique, as of now. You are piling up assumption about his game style without watching enough of that guy. Going by your posts, you have barely followed his matches. Since IPL, I have been following every single game that guy has played. So, yes I might know a tad more than you do about him. I.Bishop, Haysman rates this guy very highly of what they have seen of him. I'll take their opinion over your merry speculations any day. I don't have any problems with your opinions, but its based on nothing but your assumptions.

Samson hasn't been playing well currently? Had a really good season for a 19yr old and a 100 in the last game. I don't get it.
