zumi Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 It is unbelievable how many games these trio garbage are getting after been recycled in various roles. Rohit: This guy has no hope or ability to play at Internationl cricket. Vinay: Limited mentally and physically. Ishant: f**k this guy Three players are just too many to carry as passengers. And it is ridiculous to the extent viewers and posters can predict their failures before the match.
maniac Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 So you are upset with the guy who scored 42 at almost run a ball,2nd highest run scorer in today's game
King Tendulkar Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Rohit was our second top scorer with second best strike rate. He faced the fastest bowlerr in world cricket with a new ball , who was bowling fantastic at 95 mph. He played him really well. Strange he gets hammered. Rohit looks like kind of player we need. As can play pace and short ball. Much needed for SA and next wc in aus me thinks.
zumi Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 So you are upset with the guy who scored 42 at almost run a ball' date='2nd highest run scorer in today's game[/quote'] this was his usual once in every 10 innings nearly there innings. watch now how this entire series he won't be able to surpass this 42. he has too many fundamental flaws in his technique to survive international cricket let alone succeed.

Well look at stats over last 12 months. Rohit has averaged 40 and done ok. This also included opening batting overseas in England. Justifies selction. http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=2;spanmax1=14+Oct+2013;spanmin1=14+Oct+2012;spanval1=span;team=6;template=results;type=batting I dont know why everyone says has flaw in techinque, as he has opened and shown him self to be very solid and particularly good against fast bowling. Looks best particularly against short ball. To me looks made for tests. His main problem in odis is not getting out due to techincal flaws. His issue in odis has always been ability to rotate strike and not get bogged down. This results in him having to play big shots and getting out. In tests no such issue as its simply about occuping crease. He has shown he is techincally very good and perfect for tests. Must play in tests now
diga Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 I am a bit concerned about Shikar dhawan.. after the initial hype(CT) he doesnt seem to have done much ps: the double century was in the unofficial A games
King Tendulkar Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 If anything dhawan has most to prove techincally. Has defo shown possible weakness against short fast bowling. And he is going to be opening batting in SA test...... I hope he will be ok. But jury is out. A lot to prove. In fact next 12 months is going to prove a lot for our players. Fascinating next 12 months
skindia Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 rohit dropped twice iin his knock of 42..lucky guy
IKnowU Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 rohit dropped twice iin his knock of 42..lucky guy Dhawan has been dropped a thousand times during his purple patch if you want to bring catches into this.

This is a poor statement, Rohit as mentioned has been one of the more consistent ODI players recently, however I am frustrated he keeps getting out after 40-60 runs and maybe concentration is an issue which is why he is so good in T20’s and finds the boundaries more easily. Yesterday he technically looked better than Dhawan. However I would like to see GG return and hopefully his A team performances will bring him back.
SLICKR392 Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 rohit dropped twice iin his knock of 42..lucky guy When was he dropped? It was Raina who was dropped by Faulkner.
Number Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 When was he dropped? It was Raina who was dropped by Faulkner. Rohit edged one and it went wide and short of haddin. Not a drop though.
skindia Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 in slip and at cover he got dropped...yes its true dhawan has been more lucky in last 10-15 matches...around 20-25 catches dropped..
skindia Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 rohit can play better at no 5 compared to Raina if they fix his position at no 5..In australia Rohit would be ideal no 5..
Number Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 rohit can play better at no 5 compared to Raina if they fix his position at no 5..In australia Rohit would be ideal no 5.. You want Rohit at no. 5 and Robin Uthappa to open. I think we all know. :winky:
vvvslaxman Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 It is not about how he does relative to others. It is about how he is still not able to do anything with his starts. Being an opener that is even more criminal than not getting runs at all. Throwing away your start.
skindia Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 You want Rohit at no. 5 and Robin Uthappa to open. I think we all know. :winky: yes... coz yusuf rohit dinesh kartik rahane all got second chances for comeback and he didn't get a single after 2008.
skindia Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Praveen kumar is better than vinay kumar and ishant..atleast in first 6-7 overs he bowls
StriKe Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 yes... coz yusuf rohit dinesh kartik rahane all got second chances for comeback and he didn't get a single after 2008. I would prefer Gambhir to open not uthappa :thefinger:
