Switchblade Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 lucky charm like joginder sharma So is Binny doing the role of Chawla and who is Sreesanth in this team :giggle:
rkt.india Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 i would play aaron tbh which would be a surprise pick.knowing dhoni he'll never pick aaron so might well play shami rather than mohit As we have already seen, the reason behind Aaron didn't play is he can injure Dhoni behind the wickets. He was our best pacer in the warm he played against SL, but Dhoni got injured. he might get injured again.
The Outsider Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 The reason he doesn't have a 50 is because due to India's strong batting he hardly gets to bat. Will be same case here. If he gets to bat' date=' it will be late in the innings.[/quote'] Yeah, the strong batting was setting the world on fire in the last 3 editions denying Dhoni a chance to bat.
NareshK Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 He comes to bat usually in 16th or 17th over. Hardly any chance to play a "special" knock.
The Outsider Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Mohit Sharma playing for an international team is about as funny as Hafeez batting in the top order of an international team.
rkt.india Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Mohit Sharma playing for an international team is about as funny as Hafeez batting in the top order of an international team. Why? He has been quicker than BK and is more consistent in line and length than Shami.
jf1gp_1 Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 He was bowling yorkers in final over and speedgun reads high for full deliveries. He is still a trundler and I would want Shami /Aaron back. I thought speed guns measured speed off the bowlers hand
G_B_ Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 How do you tame Kusal Perera has been the star SL batsman for me. Always gets them off to a fantastic start which allows their middle order to settle in. I have seen him smash steyn and even spinners for plenty of runs in the first few overs. Uncomplicated game which relies on hand eye co ordination. Is in good touch. Plays shots both sides of the wicket. I suggest MSD bowl Ash to him in the second over at the latest. This guy will shred Mohit Sharma. Ash does well against left handers.
G_B_ Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 http://stats.espncricinfo.com/world-t20/engine/records/averages/batting_bowling_by_team.html?id=8083;team=8;type=tournament look at that strike rate 157....
BlueBee Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Speed guns measure the speed of the delivery at the point of release. PS: I would want shami rather than Mohit. Mohit is very overrated imo.
tweaker Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 He will not be able to put a good score against India
rkt.india Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Speed guns measure the speed of the delivery at the point of release. PS: I would want shami rather than Mohit. Mohit is very overrated imo. both overrated for t20s. Mohit is more experienced in T20, had good IPL but that alone isn't enough.
Pagalpanti Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Ashwin is our best bet. If he survives though he will give SL that 20-30 extra runs that they might need to set up India an improbable target. If SL get 170 vs us, we wont chase it!
Pagalpanti Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Shami will be exactly what the opposition would want... Look at Steyn, he is class above everyone but he couldn't do jack with his pace defending 170. Mohit is not exactly a pro himself but a better option than Shami because he's shown more control and moreover Batsman have to use power to hit him rather than just use his pace.
bulbul Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Controversies are part of Indian cricket, says MS Dhoni Over the years that I have been the captain I have seen almost everything. There is nothing really that I have not seen in cricket. Controversies are big part of Indian cricket and I have been through all it. There's hardly any good or bad in Indian cricket that happens without my name," Dhoni replied to a question about how he has internalised the tremendous pressure associated with his job. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/cricket/series-tournament/t20-world-cup-2014/top-stories/Controversies-are-part-of-Indian-cricket-says-MS-Dhoni/articleshow/33293682.cms MSD getting his kaanfidence back :woot:
