adi B Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Virat in Australia against Australia 4 matches 80 runs' date=' average 20. He needs to better this.[/quote'] yes but still early days..dhoni has poor record in windies and saf where kohli edges him
adi B Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 we all refer to dhoni`s great ton at chennai where he rescued india from a shambolic position but this yuvi ton at hyderabad also stands out as one of the top odi tons ..india were 30 odd for 5 then this great comeback http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/225959.html
India-KXIP fan Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Virat in Australia against Australia 4 matches 80 runs' date=' average 20. Either in the country, or away against them and he is god of cricket so this much can be allowed :poink: Only 1 player scoring a bit like http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/current/match/64818.html
rkt.india Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 yes but still early days..dhoni has poor record in windies and saf where kohli edges him Only in SA. In WI, Dhoni averages 43, not bad by any means.

vvvslaxman Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 you never will as he is top order player if he hits a 100 team wont be in troublesome position in first place :winky: Yea.. that is also true. When he gets going it is very rare India would collapse. So he may not face a situation where lot of wickets will fall around him. consistently. There is one area where Kohli trumps Dhoni. That is dealing with asking rate while chasing. Dhoni's general strategy is to get as close as possible without much damage and explode at the end. You need immense self belief to do that. Yuvraj , Raina usually would want to finish a touch early. Kohli trump everyone. He wants to finish well before that. There is another area where Kohli excels is dominating the premiere bowler of opposition. Ajmal, Malinga for instance. The way he clubbed Broad for six was stunning in the final.
express bowling Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Virat in Australia against Australia 4 matches 80 runs' date=' average 20. He needs to better this.[/quote'] In the last two tests in Australia, Kohli scored, 100+, 75, 44, last two in Perth. He should do ok in Aus ODI in the future.

Tendulkar averages 45+ in SA playing against SA in tests and 55 against Aus. Same scenario in ODI's is 25 and 30 average so you never know. Those Kohli test scores you put up could have been much higher too. Lets not forget he was last man dismissed in that 75 and 115. Could have gotten more if he wasn't forced to accelerate.
Ibes Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Dhoni can bat from anywhere, the series in WI just proved it imo.
