His quickest was 138K when he won it in Bangalore bout but could not hit that pace in main contest and lost. He was not the winner. He was fairly tall and had a better action than both of these. Regarding slowing down pace. They were expecting raw guys to bowl like pros. It is not possible. If you are going for pace, ket them bowl quick without thinking about line and length or whether it is hitting the stumps or not. Even pros cannot hit yorkers easily. They needed to select who is the quickest in that process and make them learn other things during training once you select them.

Dinda ise consistenly in the 135-140 range compared to Lejund but given the sad option I will pick lejund over him anyday

I am not asking to pick them. I was talking about platform for such guys to improve and gain skills to work with good coaches. Problem with Dinda is he does not bowl well with the new ball. He can be decent with old ball and at death.

Waqar Younis,Allan Donald,Wasim Akram,Shaun Pollock couldn't help these guys :facepalm: but yeah great bowlers dont neccesarily make great coaches....Though lot of people hated Venky when he was a bowling coach,Guys like RP,Sree and Ishant did well under him,May be going to 135 from 140 and adding some skillsets is not such a bad idea after all :hmmm: Only Ishant dropped pace drastically though among the mentioend but still.....Venky has been more effective than these unknown coaches we have hired.

by all means tweet on your account. God forbid i am against somebody making a living. But even advertising has a line of decency. Sending tweets to Aaron and Umesh. Asking Freddie and a whole host of other people for retweets. Pont should talk about his own product. IE that academy he is part of. Even on twitter there is an option for advertising officially. As far as Ian Pont goes, yes he has been part of the Loughborough University which does specialise in sports. Ian Pont is the sort of guy who will make a 135 bowler bowl 140. That is all. He cant take a 125 guy and make him 150. His biggest success is Mohit Sharma. Who from what i saw in the ranjis was bowling in the 130-135 bracket.

He has worked with Haryana but that is just for 2-3 weeks a year, which is a very short period, so he has not there to make him a 150 bowler. He has just worked on his basics including others like Patel. To become from 125 to 150 bowler, one needs to change the whole approach of bowling. You need to develop fast twitch fibers for that. Only a guy who tries to bowl fast can do that. If you don't, you cannot. I think it is more of a natural thing and it does not have a huge success ratio, but thing with Pont is not making one a genuine pacer from a trundler but having the thinnest knowledge of fast bowling technique. Look at this pic of Finn. He posted it yesterday talking about technical issues Fin is having.

Motto is always to make raw talents better by passing them the technical knowledge. Bowlers should know about their bowling and bowling technique so that they can make corrections themselves. It is not about picking up a 125k bowler and make him bowl 150, but picking raw talents, who can bowl 135 but is wayward and has technical issues, and refine them and increase their pace and their skills through those refinements to the maximum level.

Whatever cricket i have played and watched.I have found your natural action is the best action for you.Most of our guys have tried to change styles and have lost it Examples-Irfan Pathan,Ishant Sharma and host of others.Coaches can offer technical input which can correct flaws but increase in speed depends on players work ethic and motivation.If james anderson can go back to his natural action ,I wonder what stops our guys .
