rkt.india Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 200 is not safe anymore. Looking at the way Finch went after England bowling in a T20 game ' date=' it is only a matter of time someone else crosses 200 in the near future. Even Joe Root went ballistic.[/quote'] Bats and batsmen strength wise are so good these days that they just need to stay balanced and throw the bat in full flow towards the ball and even edges can carry for 6s if bowlers have good pace. Shane Watson and Smackswell did the same yesterday and they connected most often. Vinay's lack of pace did work for him when Smackswell top edged him. Finch did the same in that T20. You wont see such innings often but there will always be days when things go right and everything connects. As in the very next match, Finch could not even clear 30 yard circle pulling broad and got out at short mid wicket.

He is a smart guy. he targets bowlers excellently in the IPL. He left out Bhuvan, Luke and targeted the others and scored 175. Similarly Yousuf left the better bowlers and targeted guys like R Satish and racked 100 in 37 balls. Players have become good at that.. Guys like Kohli target even the premiere bowlers. But when a team has 2 or 3 buffet bowlers that's all you need.
carnish Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 I wonder if our kids meaning the next generation will be wondering who the next batsman to score 300 in an ODI will be???
Vilander Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 I said they were two of my friends...not me oh..since you speak praise of yourself a lot, he thought you were referring to your self..:--D
Vilander Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Shane Watson should on that list. He ended an ODI 185* with something like 15 overs left in the innings. :yikes: was against Bangladesh, he got injured so could not run, he kept hitting sixes..nice guy.
GrandMasterSaxy Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Not sure if all in India..but obviously by Indians. Would love to see an Indian hitting 250+ against Pakistanis. In next 10 years' date=' we might see 10 more... ALL in india...[/quote']
Haarkarjeetgaye Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 err..Sachins was the worst. The opposition almost won the game had Sachin not cheated his fielding in the penultimate over. Also proves pitch was flatter for both teams.. not the case in other 2
vvvslaxman Posted November 5, 2013 Author Posted November 5, 2013 INdia has highest number 150 pluses in history 18 of them in 17 matches 3 - 175s 3 - 183s 3 - 153s That is unique!! FYI Padosis have 2 Anwar 194 Imran nazir 160 just above Bangladesh and Ireland who have just 1 150 plus score.

SA bowled out for 248. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/441828.html

CoverDrive Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Rohit's more meaningful as it came in a decider :--D
