DomainK Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Yesterday someone filed an FIR against Bhansali, Deepika and Ranveer in the Punjab high court. Bhansali appealed requesting to squash the FIR and was refused. The hearing was scheduled for 14th. Today two cases were filed in Delhi and Mumbai high courts. While the Mumbai high court refused to stay the release, it issued notices to Bhansali, his co-producer, CBFC, the ministry of information and broadcasting and the government of Maharashtra. The Delhi high court however has stayed the release.
Crookbond Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 From what I know, the people who filed the FIR/PIL have done so earlier as well on similar grounds. Wasn't there a recent order about PIL screening before wasting valuable court time?
Magneto Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Another PIL scam. Filing PIL has become a full-fledged business nowadays with a solid revenue model. People who file frivolous PILs should not only be fined, but be jailed too.
NareshK Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 How is the movie hurting religious sentiments ? Anyone know a particular reason ?
Crookbond Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 From what I know, a set of people who have filed the PIL are notoriously famous at getting their "sentiments hurt" - not the first time. Wasn't there a recent ruling about more strict procedures to file a PIL?
Crookbond Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Ram-Leela gets a new name, court withdraws restrain order The Sanjay Leela Bhansali film will now be called Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela. This is the second time the film’s name has been changed. It was previously changed from Ramleela to Ram-Leela. CSK Fan Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 The entire Bollywood community should stand united and protest. This is happening once too many
Cricketics Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 India mein sentiments bade jaldi hurt ho jatein hai. No wonder most people can not in real life answer straight. They always end up being diplomatic so that they don't hurt someone's sentiments.
trundlerNO1 Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 I don't know how is it hurting religious sentiment, and I am going to watch this movie tomorrow(after 2nd day of test match is over).
FischerTal Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Why not change name to "tattad tattad "? :dontknow: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sidhoni Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 They have hidden the 'Ram Leela' part on posters here in the theaters and showing as 'Goliyon ki Rasleela'
gs Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 It's just a PIL at the moment. Change the title to mohammad leela and watch the fun.
game_changerr Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 ^^^^lol....u think they(makers) have guts to name it mohammad leela?...
gs Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 ^^^^lol....u think they(makers) have guts to name it mohammad leela?... just to be "secular" and not have any "communal" overtones, let's have it leela as laila instead. Any chance that would fly? :--D
game_changerr Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 have u forgotten kamal hassan's 'viswaroopam' controversy??otherwise u woudlnt hav asked tat
DomainK Posted November 17, 2013 Author Posted November 17, 2013 I would not be surprised if the whole thing was promotional stunt. Bhansali was desperate this time and the whole thing happened, very conveniently, in two days before the release.
