Analyst Maaz Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Have to be in the top 4 by the end of 2016 I am going for: South Africa England Australia India Why Pakistan won't make it: 1) Ageing KEY players: Misbah, Younis, Ajmal 2) Tours of England and Australia in 2016 3) Lack of prioritizing the test game from PCB

Order in the Ranking is what I will differ ..It would be 1.India 2. SA 3. England 4.Australia
StriKe Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 There won't be a test championship without India BCCI :bigboss:
Pagalpanti Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 The point is will SA still have the likes of Smith, Amla and Kallis batting for them in 2017? Surely Kallis might call it quits after 2015, Smith and Amla I dont think will play till then. And Steyn as well isnt he 32 already. SA might well be in transition by then, England as well with KP, Trott, Bell, Prior, Anderson gone most likely. While India and Australia might well be hitting their peak by then. Exciting times ahead :D

kruiser Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 England would be hanging by the threads holding on to fourth position. Aus and india will be 1 & 2. SA if they find good replacements for kallis, steyn will be 3rd.
Mahaa Raavana Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 1.SL 2.PAK 3.ENG 4.SA By 2016-17 expect india to be scraping the bottom of ICC test rankings with their batsmen getting lost in T20 frenzy and losing the ability to construct long innings.Don't see a single decent young batsman of the caliber of Dravid among the current crop of Indian youngsters.Bowling was never and will never be India's strong suit ,so expect India to be in a tussle with windies to avoid the wooden spoon by 3-4 years time. On the other hand ,SL would be firm favourites for the first ever test championship with awesome players like Chandimal,Thirimanne,Rambukwella etc.dominating the post Sanga era. With the world's best spin combo of Senanayake & T Kaushal heading the attack along with fiery Suranga Lakmal & Shaminda Eranga our bowling attack will be the most feared by batsmen all over the world. Expect an SL vs.Pakistan finale at Lord's...
