Stress illness comes to the help for England team... Whichever player appears to be a weak link in the tour, just explain to him that he needs to feign Stress Illness for a honourable chickening out....

Depression is nothing to make fun about. Hope he gets well soon. As far as cricket is concerned England wont miss him one bit, in fact Bell will prove to be a better no.3
WTF ..A 50+ average player in Tests and ODI player over last 4+ years and you think England can seamlessly replace him

Yet another England player bites the dust. ECB employs an entire army of Psychiatrists to travel along with the team and it seems to have done more harm than help. If he knew that he was not 100% fit then why did he even make himself available for the tour? Stress related illness will not appear overnight.

me thinks Bell at #3 & Gary Ballance @6 makes Eng a better team.. I think they also need to drop Tremlett & bring in Finn
bell will get massacred at #3,he is better at #5

bell will get massacred at #3' date='he is better at #5[/quote'] I feel Bell should do fine..He is far too technically accomplished to get massacred. I doubt KP would budge from his position & the spare batsman not be played at #3. Root will be moved to #5

The whole batting will be put in disarray now,Bell against new ball will struggle.

Next game on flat track. Will be runs scored a plenty Perth will be next test for englanbd against MJ
This was supposed to be a flat track as well. Aussies should create a nasty and bouncy Perth wicket.

Gabba always has pace on it. It was flat but had pace and bounce Perth will be very fast Next test is on drop in pitch, will be slow apparently. Aussies apparently thinking of leaving more grass on it to juice it up

From BBC

England's performance squad, which provides back-up to the main party, is also in Australia, but no immediate replacement for Trott has been called into Cook's squad. Ian Bell could move up the order to number three, while the spare middle-order spot will be filled by Jonny Bairstow, the uncapped Gary Ballance, or all-rounder Ben Stokes, who would offer an extra bowling option.

May be... does Eng have an alternative & moreover Bell wants to end his career at #3

Trott chickened out :hehe: Too afraid to face Jhonson :haha: Poms have a strategy of feigning stress and depression when the going gets tough. The irony is they will call this a BRAVE decision :hysterical: I am sure, had the coward poms cheated their way to win in the first test, then we won't have heard this bullshit form Trott
