India's Tour to South Africa, 2013

Steyn needs to realize that their bowlers can 'scare' us all they want but if they happen to bat second then they will choke the game away regardless. It's a pity that their team has not been able to 'scare' the choke away in 20 years :giggle: Dhobi is too stubborn and shameless to care about another overseas drubbing..... Our odi middle order has never looked so pathetic since the days we had robin singh and ajay jadeja come in and salvage a few runs in each odi. Add to that the brilliant bowling as always and we have a perfect recipe

this type of ostentation, boastful behaviour was displayed by smith and co along with the saf commies when we lost the 1st test at centurion in 2010 and they were made to eat humble pies by our team but back then we had a strong team along with strong characters back then..i have confidence though that this team will forge a comeback tomorrow

"In India the ball doesn't get higher than the stumps. This is not Mumbai. Here, they cannot score easily in different areas and it is going to be hard to play here. And there is more of that coming on Sunday. Lol Steyn were u high when u played in mumbai, rajasthan, mohali, hyderabad. Mumbai pitch particularly wankede is known for its bounce ,I still remember the last odi of 2007 ind -aus series the ball was bouncing head high from good length from mitch johnson and lee. Even hyderabad had some good tracks.Yes they are not as quick as sa but there are tracks in india which does have bounce.

They would never prepare a pitch like this against any side other than India and maybe SL. This is what I was saying yesterday. If we can't produce a few good bowler we are screwed. You cannot expect the batsmen to score 300 on a pitch like this against Steyn and Morkel. No team would score that many.

Indian bowling unit is million times inferior to SA bowling unit. Parnell hits 145 k easily which is ro ughly Umesh's speed. McLaren' date= Kallis all clock over 135k. Then we have Steyn, Morkel. It is a complete mismatch anyway you look at it both experiencewise or knowledgewise. This is a great experience for our bowlers. Zak shoudl guide them through in Test seriess. Ishant for all his experience is still playing like a noob. He should have reached a level where he should help others getting familiar with conditions.
Umesh is as quick as morkel, steyn when in rhythm. Its not just about being quick u need to execute ur plans and have the right plans .

Important is one thing. Pipe dream is another thing. it is very very unrealistic to expect our noob bowlers to get to the standard of Steyn' date=' Morkel in a matter of one series. [b']I mean we can more than match them in the spin department under right conditions. But if it is pace friendly conditions they will use it far better than us.
:hysterical: there is no match in spin department.

Infact not many in the world. So there is that. Only bowler who has outbowled South Afircans in South Africa is sreesanth. Because he got great outswing and fantastic seam position. Unless Umesh gets his outswing going there is no way he is going to trouble anyone there as much as Steyn troubled us.
