Pace need Pace and more PACE
How many more years would it take us to understand that pace is required ..... to have a strong bowling attack ? For the last 60 years, we have suffered because of our trundlers. But still we take them, love them and hope they will become great bowlers eventually.

England dont even look at bowlers under 82 mph. We on the other hand give them the new ball and hail them

. I was checking .... and among the top pacers in tests with 200 or more wickets, whether it is the lowest averages of under 27 or strike rates below 52- - there are no medium pacers. Most of them were/are either fast or really tall fast medium bowlers. Even in ODIs , among pacers with lowest averages who have taken 150 + wickets .... there are very few medium pacers and the rare ones present are mostly really tall and bouncy.

Surprisingly all the mohit Sharma supporters are hiding their ass somewhere these days..:haha:
I did say, I'll wait and see how he does in SA but he seems hopeless.

time to drop was given a fair chance imo
Ishant had so many chances..Drop him and bring pissant back ? Hope Umesh plays next match.

I'm sorry for using strong words but I am happy people are realizing that he is a joke of a fast bowler and no point in supporting such useless trundlers. Bowlers to avoid - Vinny unadkat mohit

No Ishant in the list.:omg:

Ishant will be hammered too he has huge technical issues which i do not think can be sorted in 1 month. He will bowl halfway at 130ks and the ball will sit up and sa will pull and hook him.I hope we go for yadav .If ishant has corrected basic errors i will be happily surprised.

Ishant too will not be a bad choice on these bouncy wickets
Ishant does not hit the seam like Morkel, neither has pace of Morkel. He can certainly do well on bouncy tracks like he did against SL in CT but he has huge consistency issue.

So much wrist slitting going on to use sane's words.Give this guy mohit few more chances before dropping him .He is not going to be a strike bowler but i liked he ran in the whole match and bowled fastest i have seen form him .He looks to be consistent and also has good seam position .He probably is suited for test matches rather than odis.

call me crazy but I still have little little hope on him because he is young, and he can still work hard on his technique and start bowling like he did in 2009-10 season.

yes, At present he is better option than Ishant...also better fielder and batsman.

I am not writing off Mohit completely in ODIs. But it is a risk to play 2 medium pacers in South Africa. Here the ODIs are more about taking wickets and limiting the opposition to a small score . If the ball doesn't swing , the medium pacers become easy targets. Faster bowlers, on the other hand, can use pace, bounce and some seam movement to get wickets still. I would prefer atleast 2 quicker bowlers in SAF ODIs.

No one replied to my last post, why should I make another?

the way he bowls he would not get any bounce from full length and his short ball will be too short yadav will get the ball to rise form much fuller length even if he is not as tall cos of his pace and mainly cos of his seam and action
