express bowling Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Ishant has suddenly got back his zip off the deck. That, combined with good lines bowled, has made all the difference. I hope, the zip is not because of the nature of the pitch. Ishant has actually played the role of an intimidating fast bowler here. Mainly because of pace and bounce off the pitch.
adi B Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Retard Sharma is either Dhoni's lover or has some dirt on him and/or selectors to constantly not only get selected in a squad but to then play every game. On any fair basis of merit or ability or skill there is just no way a talentless man-child would ever get picked. A disgusting state of affairs. :hysterical::hysterical:
veer Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 It is not godfather based. This is a Mule Singh Dhoni trait for selection. He will keep selecting the same people - extremely stubborn person MSD. what's with you abusing MSD??
Cricketics Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 How can people ask Rohit to be dropped after he has scored back to back hundreds just now. I know some people might hate him for his past performances but you can't drop a player who's been scoring runs of late. I know you are cursing him right now for dropping that catch, but let's calm down a bit. Not the first time our batsman has dropped a catch. Even Pujara dropped Cook., who went on to win first ever series for England in India in ages. Let me remind you that this is after a long time that we have been involved in a such an interesting match overseass. Time to support our players guys. They are involved in an epic test match already in their first ever outing. Look at it this way.. Get behind the country India.

Too many bandwagon type and too many wrist slitters type. Day 0 - "we gonna lose in 3 days" India post 250/5 - "Post Day 1 - India played so much better youngistan is just awesome.." India All out in 280 - "We are screwed big time..." SA 100/1 - "SA going to post 500+ runs.. F*** our bowlers" SA 146/6 - "Sheet... now India can wrap them up in 200" SA 200/6 - "Holy Sheet.. this always happens to us" etc... etc... etc... We must be one of the Worst sports team fan around. If we cant support our team when we are at no. 1 in ODIs and no. 2 in Tests, then how we going to stand by when team is not doing well or at no. 5 ranking. Same goes in day to day life events.. gotta stand by when chips are down for some one cuz anybody can jump up and down when things are going well.

It is but Ishant is taking advantage by pitching a little fuller and getting batsman to play more unlike in the previous tours.

I already see "we are screwed, this game is done. Steyn is going to rip through" etc etc comments. People need to calm down a bit. They should learn to accept few failed attempts etc or poor sessions.
CG Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Guys This is a cricket talk forum not blind team worship forum. Most people are here defending their heroes or commenting on tactics.Discussion on forum is not going to affect the outcome of match nor selection. Its beauty of cricket and this forum how reaction changes from session to session. One over u are hero next zero. The beauty is diff of opinion and as long as it exists the forum lives on.
King Tendulkar Posted December 19, 2013 Author Posted December 19, 2013 He did well today But of course long way to go for Ishant. Can he produce this on a consistent basis and on different types of pitches? He was a real asset today, getting bounce of a length. They did not enjoy facing him
express bowling Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 It is but Ishant is taking advantage by pitching a little fuller and getting batsman to play more unlike in the previous tours. His bouncers were getting purchase from the pitch after a long time. Even on good decks, he was not having this effect in recent times.

It's a IndianCricketFans forum (ideally a lot of die hard fans) 2. Didnt say worship Indian team blindly 3. Commenting on tactics doesnt mean calling MSD every name under the sun. MSD who brought lot of glories to Indian team. I would even say that he gets lot of respect in padosi forum compare to ours. 4. "Its beauty of cricket and this forum how reaction changes from session to session. One over u are hero next zero." - I always thought this forum has fans that are knowledgeable.. who shows above average loyalty to the team.. the reaction that you are talking about is expected from any tom, dick and harry walking on streets. Some of my uncles used to do the same thing.. When SRT used to get out in 10s or 20s, they would say 'Gadheda ne kai ramta nathi aavadtu' .. (Gadhe ko kuch khelne nai aata') I guess recently I have been noticing lot of changes in the forum may be cuz a lot of good, loyal, honest critics left the forum.
