sachin34357 Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 If yes, then why are we at ICF talking about playing 4 pace bowlers? I would bring in Ojha instead of Ashwin. Thats the only change I would make.
gattaca Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 what if it were a green pitch? All these assumptions dont help until someone looks at the pitch.
ThePhenomenal1 Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 4 pace bowlers will always be better than 1 spinner in SA. But if we are to have one, i'd bring in jadeja because he can bat too and he looks like taking a wicket or two
wanted_desi Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Damn it is so hard to choose: I hope they manage to have 2 spinners, I remember Spinners doing well in Durbun. Maybe Rohit Can open instead of Dhawan? 1) Rohit 2) Vijay 3) Pujara 4) Kohli 5) Rahane 6) Dhoni 7) Jedeja 8) Ashwin 9) Zak 10) Ishant 11) Shami
vvvslaxman Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Considering this top order is unlikely to change for a while, our bowlers are going to suffer a lot. With Zero contribution from top 7 batsmen in bowling , our bowlers will have to overbowl and in the process they might get injured.
fineleg Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Previously Ganguly, Tendulkar and Sehwag could bowl. All 3 incl Sehwag are crafty part-timers. Very useful
NareshK Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Considering this top order is unlikely to change for a while' date=' our bowlers are going to suffer a lot. vvvslaxman Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 There are times top order batsman has to help give breakthroughs as well. Tendulkar 3 for 10 played a crucial role in 2001 test win against Australia. Viru's 3 for 19 helped us against SA at home.
ThePhenomenal1 Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Can't drop a batsman, SA will be coming back hard with the bowling. Either have yadav as a genuine quick and a wicket taker or jadeja who could get something good off this pitch. You don't want to mess with the lineup too much that got us a draw in a hard-fought match. Ashwin needs to go, and to replace him should be someone who can take wickets. Need a game changer! Ideally yadav Dhawan Vijay Pujara Kohli Rohit (bowl some spin) Rahane Dhoni Jadeja/Yadav Shami Ishant Zak
cowboysfan Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 I believe Herath took 10 wickets there last time,it would be criminal not to play Jaddu with so many RHBs in SA team.
vvvslaxman Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Amla will feast on us on a slightly better batting conditions. India should try to bat them out. Don't get run out FFS :hitler:
