CG Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 I mean english have been peppered with short pitch bowling at 150ks and they do not select finn who is their quickest bowler and all the talk before tour was the selection of tall bowlers. Are they on sight seeing trip.:giggle:
gattaca Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 They are not in form as described by English Commies.
CG Posted December 26, 2013 Author Posted December 26, 2013 They are not in form as described by English Commies. and bresnan and anderson are?English batting may be struggling but english bowling against a average australian bowling side has been even worse.
gattaca Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 and bresnan and anderson are? Anderson earned his place. They can't drop their spear head. Bresnan Bcoz alrounder.
CG Posted December 26, 2013 Author Posted December 26, 2013 Anderson earned his place. They can't drop their spear head. Bresnan Bcoz alrounder. Thats the reason for their downfall, they are too negative,The series is lost and it was perfect opportunity to get some young bowlers in.They cannot afford 3 and half bowlers.Cook is really a defensive captain.
CG Posted December 26, 2013 Author Posted December 26, 2013 Regarding form finn took 8 wickets in the first practice game.
brendan07 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 I would have played Rankin but that is me personally. The writing was on the wall when they didn't get a run in Perth. If they aint getting a run there, not sure they would get a run in Melbourne. Rankin is 2 years away minimum, he isn't fit enough to bowl 30 over innings spells yet.
brendan07 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Regarding form finn took 8 wickets in the first practice game. At 6 runs an over, was extremely expensive.
CG Posted December 26, 2013 Author Posted December 26, 2013 At 6 runs an over' date=' was extremely expensive.[/quote'] NO ,HIS ECONOMY RATE WAS 3.5 and 4
saneindian Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Maybe because those who have played international cricket for sometime know that 'pace' alone is not everything in test cricket? There was an article recently on CI which said he's had to change his action due to frequent number of times he hit the stumps in his delivery stride and that he's been struggling for pace and rhythm and has not been confident. Same article talked about some more changes in action to become an outswing bowler. Obviously there are issues and pace alone cannot get you into a test squad. In a way its good for him, will get picked when he's confident, else could lose his test 15 spot Think its a little similar to the phase Umesh is going through. Both are young, will come through soon. Long career ahead of them.
Number Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 They are paying for it. Going to be 5-0. Omlette and Breastnan are Vinay, Unadkar level trundlers.

What rubbish, England are 3-0 down and are been peppered with fast bowlers and all the talk before the tour was the height of bowlers england are taking ,Obviously they were good enough to be selected, Finn even has done well in practice games. If they need to watch pace can do they just had to look what they were facing .Its the negative attitude of flower and cook to strengthen there batting nothing else. Rankin is close to 30.
gaurav92 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Why is Finn not playing? He is their best bowler on these tracks. Extra bit of bounce at some killer speeds. Englands Mitchell Johnson :nervous:
maniac Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Finn has had run up issues and apparently been sucking even at the county level
CG Posted December 26, 2013 Author Posted December 26, 2013 I average 29 in Test cricket, 26 in one-day cricket and early 20s in T20 cricket so the numbers suggest I can do it,” said Finn. “I’m not doubting my ability to perform in international cricket, no way, because I know that I’ve done it in the past. Maybe over the last eight months I haven’t been ready enough for international cricket but I’m at the point where I’m close to being an international cricketer.”
express bowling Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 English logic, as far as it pertains to cricket, is difficult to understand. They tend to over complicate things and are often defensive in their thinking.

Mark Eahlem, Dominic Cork and what not. Only Flintoff came close.
