So yes, he wouldn't be running out half the team like he normally did but would himself suck, like he did when he lost his weight.

No. On uncovered wickets against 1940s/1950s era attacks, their pacemen would hardly trouble modern batsmen but their spinners would be better than modern spinners on covered wickets, so i dont see the modern bat doing much worse. The oldies would simply die on the pitch, Bradman excepted ofcourse.

Both the Indian and English cricket teams are primarily good at home, and not so good away. Yes, England won against India away but their overall record this year is quite poor. The same also goes for India, who have a record of 0-9 that could have been either 1-8 or 0-10 in overseas Tests. I wonder what all this whingeing is about. In cricket, only a few teams can boast of being truly great - Bradman's Invincibles, Lloyd's Windies, the Oz team of the mid 90s to mid 2000s, and the SA team of the late 60s. As for the rest, they have mostly been good or very good, tops. India achieved true dominance in one and only one sport, and that was hockey during the 20s and 30s. Very few fans on this site bay be aware of this, but the British Indian hockey team was a true team of legends and a legendary team that performed superbly.

The thing is, India has moved since then, and most of the passengers in that team are not playing any more. England will be blanked if they tour India now - and they don't even have Swann any more. You can expect to see Pujara triple tons if England come to India now. Jadeja, Ashwin and Ojha will have them in a spin too.
Vijy Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Ashwin performed very poorly against the Brits. However, I think Jaddu would be quite good, esp with his newfound experience. I would also back Rahane, Pujara, Kohli over Laxman, Tendu and Dravid when the trio had lost form and ability.
ShebbySB Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 England can underestimate us after beating us 6-1 in home & away tests.... 6 wins in last 8 test matches but then this is our new team while that team was filled with big names who were out of form & at the twilight of their career. Our test batting line up with:-Dhawan,Vijay,Pujara,Kohli,Rahane,Rohit,Dhoni is quite capable & our bowling will be lot better if we can get rid of Zak & Ishant.An attack of BK,Shami & Umesh with Aaron,Pandey as back ups won't be that easy as the poms think plus we'll have Jadeja as the frontline spinner....too good for ur batsmen :haha: won't be surprised if sir comes out as the highest wkt taker in the series & who knows maybe we've to call him sir after the series is over,not in a sarcastic way...if u know wat I mean :--D
