But this is a very slippery slope. To think about the whys hows whens, i.e. For who all do we try and find reasons/justifications? In my books, a Raj Thackeray or even his uncle: the late cartoonist supremo are no different than Akbaruddin Owaisi. Divisive people. Constantly passing off semi-seditious comments about their group being 'wronged' and taking to violence only to ensure that the allegedly wronged people are even more marginalized and no where closer to achieving what they had initially set out to bag. Yes they are good demagogues. They can get that knee-jerk reaction out of someone who is a have not. But they are poor leaders. I haven't once heard Raj Thackeray talk about how he plans to improve anything. Admitted, my Marathi isn't great. But all I can gather is he can only talk the talk. Don't think he can walk the walk. What in your opinion creates the likes of him and his followers? Primary duty of a state is to ensure some semblance of law and order. A serious state would have jailed Raj Thackeray eons back, and cut him down to size. Instead, they've let him grow and flourish. "Appeasement" is a word thrown around here quite a many times. Appeasement is what the State Govt. has been upto wrt to Raj Thackeray and his uncle.
