The Outsider
Was browsing through the Future Tours Program and it's full of exciting test cricket for India - 26 test matches against major opposition at home and away. A final 15 months for a lot of greats of Indian cricket to leave their impressions on the record books and an improving Indian test team to strengthen it's records. Also, an ideal time for youngsters to slowly creep into the set up and our new and improved pace bowling to leave lasting impressions. Exciting 15 months to be an Indian cricket fan : November 2007 - 3 tests against Pakistan (home) December 2007 - 4 tests against Australia (away) March 2008 - 3 tests against South Africa (home) July 2008 - 3 tests against Sri Lanka (away) October 2008 - 4 tests against Australia (home) December 2008 - 3 tests against England (home) January 2009 - 3 tests against Pakistan (away) February 2009 - 3(2) tests against NZ (away) Lots of fun and excitement coming up. Cricketers' fitness will be tested and so will their lasting power in a packed but exciting schedule. Link to comment
fineleg
. Cricketers' fitness will be tested and so will their lasting power in a packed but exciting schedule. Our ability to watch matches at weird hours, sit and argue and fight in ICF on optimistic fans vs pessimistic fans, and juggling other real life priorities will also be tested Link to comment

kablooee87
This is one area where I am truly jealous of India. Pakistan don't play nearly enough test cricket (one factor being that teams don't want to play Pakistan!). Pakistan have 3 tests against India, 3 tests against Australia then.........MAYBE a test or two against Bangladesh. Aside from that nothing is planned in 2008 test match wise. Link to comment
PaiN_KiLLeR
wow thats a fantastic lineup indian cricket coming up. now that im done with my studies i will get to watch all the action! just another thought .. our team has been playing non stop cricket since June ... and this will go on till April next year. that is 10 months of hectic intl cricket without any break in between. that is way too stressful for the players! The Outsider
This was two years back when there was so much to look forward to - now just wake me up when the cricket WC enters the knock out stage. At least lots of time to spend on other things. Link to comment

In that time India will not be playing even a single Test match against a good team - just a two Test series against Bangladesh. Link to comment

Indeed but hopefully theyll lose 90% of those , so it wont really be meaningful, just enough for us to bash their fans. Link to comment
goose
BCCI has for all intents and purposes forbidden India's stars from playing test cricket for a year. Link to comment
