G_B_ Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 KP would be playing cricket for south africa if not england. Lets keep in mind that the guy originally moved to Notts. At Notts he became a very good player. England is a very vague term to describe who helped KP. It was rather a county who helped mould him as a batsman. For heaven sake South Africa have brought back Kolpak players likes Jaques Rudolph into the fold and your telling me that they would just ignore KP? :hysterical: KP owes his career in cricket to one entity. Thats Nottinghamshire cricket club. Nobody else.
G_B_ Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 What rubbish. Just because we don't hero worship our batsmen like you Indians do. You guys worship Tendulkur 5 years after he was past it. In England we don't care what you did in the past. " What have you done for me lately?". And KP's not done alot lately. Likewise neither has Swann ( he retired) or prior or Trott. And all of those may never play for England again. He's been treated well in England. And all this nonsense that Cook hasn't been attacked, his captaincy has been slaughtered in this series. KP is our best batmen though. That's why he comes under greater scrutiny when he doesn't perform. so whats Andy Flower/Cook done for England lately? Your sentiment would be correct if it was uniformly applied. Cook is averaging less than 30 with the bat in the last 10 tests played in the Ashes and has been a terrible captain. Atleast KP cashed in , in the Ashes series in England a few months ago.... So i ask again, "whats cook done for england lately" in a personal capacity as a batsman

So i ask again, "whats cook done for england lately" in a personal capacity as a batsman Well this thread is about KP. Cook's been useless with the bat since the India tour. He should be stripped of the captaincy because he's a useless captain. Also we need a new coach, time For Andy Flower to step down. But he's staying on apparently and is Cook as captain, which is a joke.

Sachin=GOD Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Kevin Pietersen @KP24 9m 1/2 - I am shocked and saddened by reports in the media today concerning my future with England... Kevin Pietersen @KP24 8m 2/2 - I wish to repeat my strong desire to continue playing for my country, and to help us regain the Ashes in 2015.
special K Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 its the end of Andy Flower. not Pietersen. Flower's job is safe. He wants to stay on and is going to stay on.
vvvslaxman Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/cricket/index.html Wow they are really witch hunting big time
CG Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 It was surrender and heads need to roll,k.p ,Anderson are past .offcourse Anderson will not be targeted because he is home grown.the way pk got out was battrocious though.
G_B_ Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Nottinghams in England. its still a separate entity. As highlighted in the post SA have called Kolpak players back to their side. nothing to say they would not have snapped up KP had England not done so.

King Tendulkar Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Terrible by england making KP the scapegoat for the abysmal showing So he does not laugh along with anderson, broad and swann. Does not mean you dont make team on that basis So flower does not like KP. No excuse to axe him, the guy is ultra pro and still best bat. Stinks this Flower should go, he is not important, get someone else to put cones out. But always have your best team. As we are learning to our cost when dhoni picks people he likes eg Ishant
GolGappe Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 Seismic blame shift from real culprits to England's highest scorer. Cook, Trott, Carberry, Bell, Root, Prior, Anderson, and Swann failed miserably and all the focus has shifted on Pietersen. Only 2 English players, Broad and Stokes, showed up for the battle. Rest weren't up for real cricket after Johnson's first spell in Brisbane.
GolGappe Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 I have sympathy for depression patients but Trott's sudden withdrawal could have been better handled. They should have faked an injury and send him home and later disclosed real reason for his return. His departure after two miserable batting failures in first test match mentally disintegrated the entire English squad and pumped Aussies up further.
carnish Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 THOSE WHO SHOULD NEVER PLAY FOR ENGLAND AGAIN: ANDERSON PRIOR TROTT PIETERSEN AND COOK WILL COME RIGHT BACK INTO THEIR OWN ONCE THE SERIES AGAINST INDIA START. I GUESS, EVEN BELL MIGHT SCORE HEAVILY AGAINST US. PLAYERS FOR THE FUTURE: STOKES ROOT BAIRSTOW (as WK)
adi B Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 kp is gone for sure..ECB will keep flower as the coach and that chicken cook as the captain..add to that, the textgate saga as well will make sure ecb snub kp,he will be projected as the bad boy and if he plays in the ipl, england will have more chance to denigrate kp as greedy, boisterous etc
putrevus Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 These moronic pommies would have never won a lick without him, now they want to dump him what a way to show gratitude. He is one person that makes this team watchable otherwise it is the most boring side in the world without any flair.
TheWall Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 1) He earns more in IPL than of the Poms 2) He is still an outsider for them
G_B_ Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 ^ thats not strictly true. KP earns about £1.5 million via being in the english cricket team. which is more than the ipl. What you can say is playing a full IPL + endorsements from India (like say Pepsi etc) will mean that KP can potentially earn more in the IPL.
