If you use that parameter you could miss an outstanding bowler below 6 . Steyn is below 6. Ryan harris 5'11" . That is gross injustice to bowlers who are below 6. That is a strict no no parameter to pick bowlers. Ishant is a stellar example of being tall and crappy.
he is 6 foot 2 dude....... Harris fair enough. But again in that entire list of bowlers who are currently in the top he is the shortest.

No way steyn is 6' 2". He is at best 5'11". Even granted google height is wrong. he looks short.

When Bhuvan picked 4 for 8 everyone went gaga over him lol. why are we dissing him. Atleast on helpful surfaces he bowls well. Look at our ishant.. helpful, unhelpful.. any track he is the same.

Need to pick horses for courses. Bhuvi won't be useful in most places, but his selection in NZ and Eng ought to be a must. Shami and Yadav should be picks pretty much everywhere. On pitches with more bounce than swing, a third genuine pacer like Aaron or someone who can extract bounce from a good length such as Pandey(?) or Pankaj(?) should be the third seamer.

You need skill even to use the conditions. Some of us (you know who) don't even know that.

today the lankan pacers bowled excellently, they bowled the perfect off stump line on the good length area, one of them avged 150+,the other 60+ but it shows that with good planning and strategy these mediocre bowlers turned into world beaters..the thing is they all bowled with good pace above 134 consistently, eranga even clicked 90mph .. it shows how much important it is to bowl with a bit of extra effort on bit helpful tracks for bowlers, india needs to play bowlers who can bowl with intensity for most part of the day and can crank it up when needed

I have seen Eranga lol. That guy is not a 90 mph bowler. I have serious doubts about the speed guns.
heres from CI 0.1 Lakmal to Khurram Manzoor, no run, 139 kph, a little bit of movement off the pitch there but the batsman does well as he pulls away from the intended defensive prod 3.2 Eranga to Khurram Manzoor, 2 runs, 138 kph, he was stuck on the crease while negotiating with this fullish delivery which gains a little late movement away from the bat. A defensive prod results in an outside edge through the slips 9.2 Pradeep to Ahmed Shehzad, no run, 140 kph, back of a length on off stump, with just enough shape away to enlist the outside edge. Shoddy footwork again from Shehzad as he poked at it, but the ball falls short of Mathews at third slip now check this ovr from eranga 18.2 Eranga to Khurram Manzoor, no run, 140.9 kph, digs it into the middle of the pitch, outside off, and Manzoor has to sway out of the line of it. Good ploy against someone who's so eager to get on the front foot 18.3 Eranga to Khurram Manzoor, 1 run, 140.3 kph, that had much better direction as the bouncer was homing on on his chin. Manzoor does well with his hook shot and kept it down too to pick up a single 18.4 Eranga to Mohammad Hafeez, no run, 139 kph, fullish and seaming away outside off but Hafeez is not interested in it 18.5 Eranga to Mohammad Hafeez, no run, 140.9 kph, cautiously left alone as he sees this good length ball seam away outside off 20.5 Eranga to Mohammad Hafeez, 1 run, 143 kph, he wasn't quite in control of that pull shot and the ball was in the air for quite a bit, but square leg as in the deep. Hit very high on the bat and was done in for pace, quick, short good bouncer from Eranga 60.6 Eranga to Junaid Khan, no run, 141 kph, shortish on middle as he awkwardly pulls to midwicket 62.5 Eranga to Bilawal Bhatti, SIX, 142 kph, very good ball from Eranga as this bouncer was in line to dent the helmet, but Bhatti goes for the hook and though it was a top-edge, the ball carries all the way past the long leg rope. Timely six for Pakistan i sh1t u not all the 3 pacers bowled quick and looked quick as well maybe because of the pleasant weather

from cricinfo,Lakmal bowled consistently at 139 too as Bhatti touched 140 already. very unlikely unless they all drank a magic potion

Speed is not even problem when we have 3 140 k bowlers in New Zealand squad :cantstop: Don't think off late we have have missed pace our problem is only one guy ishant sharma if we get rid of him whole line up will work better

It is high time we realize that. Even one bowler can completely destroy any bowling line up if you just have 4 regular bowlers.. As a first step just drop him from all formats. Things will look up.
